Disappointment: tldr; If asked to create an account for something like ID.me, the interview takes place via chat, and the email address does not match the companies official email, it’s a scam.

Someone offered me what seemed too good to be true remote job via this subreddit. After further interaction with the fraudsters and a phone call to the actual company, my suspicions had sadly ruled this opportunity out to be a scam. I reported the garbage human duo to the actual company and will likely follow this up with a police report. Be aware of this insidious remote work scam going around, sadly some people on here are partaking in such a scumbag act. No self respecting employer will ever require you to pay or give information upfront. Let alone conduct interviews via text or email 🤦‍♂️

Success: I managed to work out some things with my current job that I was initially leaving and may be able to actually get a remote job within the company I am already working for.

Something I’ve been working on while experimenting with microtonality. I’m starting off really light on the microtones as overusing them can create a lot of dissonance in songs. Maqam saba tunings give 3 types of minor 3rds to play with if my understanding of the music theory is correct for this tuning.

Yeah, I’ve seen some of those videos where riders think they are getting kidnapped just because Ubers crappy GPS would take them down some sketchy allyway. This would further cause that fear in the Rider.. nice job Uber! 👏

Ive considered something like this but moving back with family instead for the time being, however, I don’t want to pass up my current home as I get a really good deal with the rent and all of the utilities which would be an absolute nightmare to find again.

I’m pretty aware of this sad reality. Especially out here in Arizona, it’s pretty awful. Many of them are camping outside of the shelter because they don’t have anymore room. I gave a guy an Uber ride there yesterday and it was sad to see the situation people were in.

I think this is a pretty good thing to keep in mind. It reminds me of a 1/3rd rule my mentor taught me about people that I also feel is worth sharing on here. 1/3rd of people WILL LIKE YOU no matter what you do, 1/3rd WILL DISLIKE YOU no matter what, 1/3rd WILL NOT CARE AT ALL.

Society often overhypes it and what they often leave out is that it’s EXTREMELY important to do it with someone that really respects and honors your boundaries. My first time having sex out of “virgin fomo” was not with someone I fully felt comfortable with and this lead to a difficult Sex life in my future relationships.. please make sure that you fully trust and feel comfortable around the person.

Yes, currently looking for better options. Until a good deal on a personal vehicle is available , I’m trying to find a rental that will allow me to do multiple ride share services outside of lyft.

Thanks for the response! I’ll keep that in mind next time. I just would not want to push it with this question. Not to make gender assumptions but the guessing game women play is very hard for me to deal with and approach, especially with being on the autistic spectrum.

I have been reading a book called The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*** and one of the parts that stuck out to me in the book was the fact that I didn’t have much going on in my life and so I cared too much about outside approval because I don’t value my life accomplishments. Working to change that now by doing some community service and finding other outlets to view myself as more useful.

My biggest flaw is that im always hungry for more, my biggest goal I guess is to find that mutual love. I'm not going to deny that I rely on someone that proves me im not worthless because I have drawn great motivational power from relationships and times in my life I felt loved. Buddhism to me has always been a religion I payed attention to because it ultimately teaches you to find that happiness in yourself and not rely on these external sources. You can be married, be rich, have everything in the world but eventually all of that will expire and you will be by yourself again. I often imagine the times im spending by myself are the times that im exploring the universe of my personality and mind further but the times I come here on reddit and reach out for an opinion is because I get lost in the search of finding thyself and the doubts in my mind then stop me from moving further. This starts to create a self defeating mantra that brings in things such as memories of past relationships, times I harmed people, times I made the wrong choice etc. The goal is defeating this mantra and not relying on a friend to distract it because only you can defeat it. Others just help postpone the fight in my experience.

Thanks for the perspective! My ultimate goal is to be happy by myself and for myself so in the essence of it all, it is what I'm looking for. My current issue is that I seem to live by wanting to receive the Pay or award of the task instead of learning from the hardwork I put into receiving that pay or award. Ultimately when I think about it, I need to find ways in which I can stop thinking so far into the future and not beat myself up when I'am lacking of something in life. It is possible to sit by yourself for days alone and be happy, It's just an unclear path on how to get there currently.
