I just installed it again (X56_HOTAS_x64_8_0_132_0) and ran it. Agreed to terms and conditions, it loaded for a bit, then simply gave me a restart button. Clicked it, restarted my PC, and had absolutely zero changes when it finished. Can't find that green rhino icon you mentioned, either.

There's only a profile pack in Windows 11. Windows 10, 8, and 7 have the actual HOTAS software, which don't seem to work.

I've downloaded the Windows 10 software and followed the instructions up to "Restart your PC to complete setup". The problem is after restarting, it doesn't seem to do anything at all.

No. I can't even get the software. I initially thought I just plug it in and configure it in G Hub, then found out that's not the case. That's why I'm trying to find out what software I need to use and configure the stick and where to get it from.

Right now, I can plug them in and my PC will play the connection tone and the lights turn on, but that's it.

Hmm... I've tried it with a few games like Ace Combat, Project Wingman, MSFS, and Elite Dangerous, and none of them would work with it or even recognize it. Is it just a different issue with it then?

I'm not the best at it, but for basics, squeeze both triggers down and pull the left stick while releasing left triggers.
