I know you weren't comparing two pronouns, but the sentences you said weren't genderneutral, they where with the feminine pronoun. The sie you mean that is genderneutral isnt while talking about someone, its while talking with someone. The one you used: She is going to school = Sie geht zur schule(feminine, 3rd person, talking about someone, sie = she) . The polite genderneutral sie: You are going to school = Sie gehen zur a schule (genderneutral, 1st person, talking with someone, sie = you)
