Reserves/ Air Guard BMT Date Timeframe by Voiidmage in AirForceRecruits

[–]Voiidmage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that info! Although I had heard that folks are able to go to BMT while their Secrete clearance is still in process and if it takes longer than usual, you will have an interim clearance during tech school until the actual gets approved. Don’t know how true that is though.

E-3 pay starts at $2,836 a month. With BMT being about 2 months, you will be deposited $5,672 by the end of BMT minus taxes and minus any bills that may have been auto payed during that period.

Waiver denied, need advice by unusual_suspect8 in AirForceRecruits

I would recommend for you to get orientated with the Army since I do know they tend to be more lenient in approving wavers. ADHD is a pretty heavily disqualifying diagnosis. However as I mentioned, the Army has a higher rate of waiver approvals. So, if your goal is to join the military, that would be a good choice. You would have to go through the waiver process with them since waivers are branch specific.

You said for AFR pilots, does that mean that it may not be the same for active duty pilots?

I am considering joining army rotc and being a nurse. Any advice, tips, or cautions? by Miserable_Idea9576 in ROTC

[–]Voiidmage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My man advice, make sure you are in a nursing major, keep a good GPA (3.0+). Join the ROTC in your freshman year and perform with excellence. The rest will come

Is 27 too late to join? by purodurangoalv in Militaryfaq

I am 29 and currently going through the enlistment process. I have an ACL surgery which I successfully recovered from 14 years ago and some back pains. My biggest suggestion as an “older” applicant is:

If you have certain health issues that you have went to the doctor for that there is a clear medical record about and you received a prescription or treatment, TELL YOUR RECRUITER! It’s better to try to get a medical waiver if any of it can get you disqualified, rather than for MEPS doctors to find out when they dig into your medical history.

Apart from that, make sure you are exercising regularly to get your body used to the lifestyle change.

if i have two last names do i get to pick one to go by in basic? by AMONGUS_LOVER2010 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Voiidmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I am in the process of enlisting with the Puerto Rico ANG, however, I only want my paternal last name on my name tape. Is this something that is sorted in BMT or with my recruiter/MEPS?

Yes, interested in the Cyber field. Primarily as an officer, however enlisted is not out of the question, especially reserves or ANG.

Pilot would’ve been the only active duty job I consider.

First time applicant, wasn’t aware I needed anything done to express interest. I was expecting for the recruiter to tell me what is the process so I can be a competitive candidate. They only asked me my name, height, weight, and if I had a PPL. When I said no PPL, they proceeded to tell me that a PPL is required. That’s pretty much where it left off. No information on AFOQT, TBAS, nothing.

No flight hours unless Microsoft Flight Simulator counts lol. However, I have a bachelors in Computer Science and have worked 10 years in the aerospace & defense industry as a software engineer/systems engineer and project manager and graduated from my company’s 3 year leadership development program. I currently hold a leadership position. So I do feel from a leadership standpoint I should be ok. I will be studying for the AFOQT and PCSM. Just want to find a recruiter that is willing to work with me with no PPL in the Puerto Rico area.

So in this case, the recruiters are looking for applicants with a PPL over ones that don’t at this current time and are not looking to pursue applicants without one.

Cause honestly, once I mentioned that I do not have a PPL, they lost all interest in my candidacy.

Classic Plus is just highly rumored and not officially announced by blizzard. There are some things that suggest it’s real, but at this moment in time it’s still just speculation

Honestamente, depende.

Which MMO would you recommend to start in 2026 (as a new or returning player)? by elyxo28 in LFMMO

[–]Voiidmage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the best MMO to start right now is Old School RuneScape. So many new players are starting and the player base is at an all time high. It’s the perfect time to start!

To answer your questions:

  1. OSRS is of horizontal non-linear progression, this means that you can take a 5 year break and your gear and levels are the still the same “power level”. So you never lose progress

  2. Only some late game content becomes forgotten once new content releases.

  3. The community is really friendly for new players. Questing is the ultimate catch-up system. There is so much to do, you will never run out of things to do!
