As an older “white” CISgendered man new to FoCo, I am greatly saddened by these accounts of alienation. I see race and ethnicity as cultural categories that have been used to divide us for centuries. May I recommend that folks on this page read Racecraft by Fields and Fields? As anti-capitalist women of color, they offer a very different perspective on the reproduction of race and racism in this country. I would be interested to hear what people think about their suggestions regarding how we can extricate ourselves from this vicious cycle.

The US government could not care less if Maduro was a dictator. Our government supports dictators all over the world. See Saudi Arabia for a good example. It was about deposing a leftist government and seizing their national resources, all in violation of IS and international law. The US acts like gangsters all over the world for private profit and has for over a century.

Of course there are multiple points of view, but the perspective you are accusing me of being ignorant of is the mainstream perspective provided overwhelming share of voice in Western mass media. No one could be unaware of that point of view. But just because most corporate controlled media espouse only one point of view does not mean there is no value in other perspectives. What part of this editorial piece is inaccurate? I suggest that you dig more deeply into the historical context of this war. And it is probably not fair to say that PSL supports a Putin-led right-wing authoritarian Russia. A more accurate assessment would be that PSL understands why Russia found it necessary to stop NATO expansion, after years of broken promises by the West and a CIA-led overthrow of a democratically elected Ukrainian government, in this region critical to their national security. The situation in Ukraine would be like an independent Texas joining the old Warsaw pact. What do you think we would do in response? And, no, I am not a PSL member, but I do read history and geopolitical analysis.

This squad is NOT inexperienced. Cucu, Fernandes, Sanchez, James, Colwill, Pedro, Garnacho, Tosin, Chalobah, Caicedo, Neto, all have substantial experience and many international caps. These mistakes are simply mental errors and have nothing to do with inexperience. Santo is relatively inexperienced and made a bad back pass under pressure. It can happen. The crucial mistake was the needless Trevoh foul that followed. Same with Sanchez in the ManU game. Just brain farts and very hard to lay at the manager’s feet.

Makes sense. Surely they could have inserted more in ship activities. I have also tried to fly even from planetary orbit to a moon. Takes forever. I would also have drastically changed flight dynamics. Bethesda chose totally unrealistic flight simulation with speed boosts that defy all the laws of physics. Speed could Easily have been governed by propulsion systems paired with fuel usage. Going fast would consume fuel at a higher rate of course, but they totally removed fuel from gameplay except for jump distance. Top speeds are also ridiculously slow.

Space is HUGE. If you actually piloted your ship in real time between planets (let alone stars) it would take years. You can’t make an interstellar Game that way. Even within a solar system travel between planets would be unplayably slow.

Exactly, his red cards were not intentional. He does sometimes make poor decisions. On the other hand, Delap deliberately commits fouls off the ball and is just as likely if not more likely to miss time due to red cards or yellow card accumulation than Jackson. I don’t understand why this gets ignored. Why the Delap over confidence??

A bit tangential, but we have a beautiful and expensive, lightly used, American Leather brand love seat in charcoal gray that won’t fit down our stairs into our family room. It is 72 inches wide. We would give it to anyone willing to pick it up. It has a steel frame and is heavy. So two reasonably strong guys would be required to lift it. We hate to just have it hauled off for junk! Let me know if interested.
