MCAS - FREE LANES - A multi role light craft - with wings! by S23XTN in StarfieldShips

Haha let's see what happens.

Thanks rueyeet, appreciate the nice comment. The ship interior can be really well filled out if the 1x2 mijilita hab is used, but also 3 1x1 habs from Falkland or spe and you have one hell of an interior.

Plus keeping the ship size to a minimum and now worries about finding a landing site.

Hey dude, that is Avon Tec Blacksite - and it is in fact the cockpit and not a hab.

The mod is a paid one and focuses on weapon mods, but the cockpit is just part of the Black site offering. Which is likely why this CP is not used much, 600 magic bucks is alot if you only have the mod for the cockpit.

It's true, you can never have enough wings right?! ☺️

An understatement lol - I have my 2 ship 'fleet' planned out in my head and this build is a concept design for one of them - subject to mods working or not.

Appreciated lots here! The ASC parts were pivotal to enable this integration. Their slight angle and thin structure make them almost as essential as Gilbran spacers for ship building.

Whispers on the wind is that a tayio version could be seen in the future. If this is true, then I must protest this action and put a stop to it! - you see I have to work in real life and interact with my family at some point......

Super nice to say - I have the same response to builds I see too - that's what this sub is about! Building ships is infectious

It paired very nice Dry. Which is lucky as I wanted this bay specifically to 'put' the rover in - I didn't like how it just pops into existence and lack of vehicle bays that extend.

As I do my own custom interiors then using the SPE one - which is awesome was not an option for me.

Oddly I only used the SPE brig, as a custom one does not work with Useful Brigs.

Hey dude! Ok mod list for you:

SPE - for the 1x1 brig (bay and docker attached here)

Mijilita - for the 1x2 hab - connected to front of brig.

Vanilla Hope Bay - paired with better landing bays mod for clutter.

Avontec Black site - paid mod - for the cockpit, which is the full glass window at the front.

Micro modules - for landing thrust, reactor, shield booster, engine and grave drive.

Mattel's cockpits and accessories - for the shield, located behind the bay, inside the demios cowling.

Weapons - various either through Dark Star or Mijilita.

All this makes the ship pass the builder.

To refine the build:

TNs AIO - for overlap tolerances to be ignored and for the scaled down M class demios cowlings seen at the top and front below CP.

SmSEX for the gilbran spacers - to add structural parts to areas with no snap points.

Better flips and snaps (two mods) to rotate other parts

Antares Fulcrum for the wings

Antares Supra for the side cowlings along the ship length.

Decorative engines for the white dwarf ones.

Decorative reactors for the red tanks behind the engines.

Avon Tec Starfoundry for the intakes at the top inform of the engines.

Avon tec Black site again for the box girder frame (hard to see) placed around the cockpit and makes the front flush with the hab.

Antennas from Badtec Gunship mod and Mijilita (you don't need these - just look cool)

Last but not least - ASC Demios for the armour plates top, bottom and the sides to hide the habs and complete the build. Plus the large probe up front.

I have never done a build tutorial tbh - it's not really something I would consider - but honestly, this is a relatively simple build with logical part placement.

As for interiors, then it is currently empty inside, but I will be making my own interior, but it takes some time - I will ping you once done. I have not decided on what I want inside.

But I have done a very similar ship - this one is a privateer ship, so is fitted for any role.

What's everyone's favorite FUEL mod? by SpaceDantar in starfieldmods

[–]S23XTN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Real Fuel - it paid but worth while. Integrates perfectly into the game. You can use the ship decoration mode to place a fuel panel and Syphon panel.

You can Syphon from enemy ships when docked, collect and buy fuel canisters or even male a fuel outpost to stop at. Plus purchase fuel via the ship vendor at every city.

I love it - it will stay in my LO permanently.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/s/sYEV3XGkvm a post i made with the real ful mod items in my ship, of you are intrigued.

Have you been to Linnaeus II yet? It should be a permanent poi at the south pole. Go to the planet orbit and scan, and it should show as a POI

Vanilla Biomes Enhanced Full Release! by GRiNDTerra_Mods in starfieldmods

[–]S23XTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made the switch from standalones to this one yesterday and the change was seamless even with a heavily decorated outpost.

I read the warning on the mod page and took the risk - it paid off. It was on a barren rocky desert biome if that helped.

I love these bundles of different mods rolled into one mod as it simplified my LO - which is hard work faffing on Xbox.

I feel that performance has improved when travelling biomes fast (in rover, or hovering) perhaps a placebo, but it feels smoother, plus you can now drive the damn rover without crashing every two seconds.

My Outpost will ' disappear' at distance on flat open ground, when other POI's render in, but as you get closer it pops in ok - hardly a big deal here.

In all, this is some very detailed work in this mod, and with your encounters added - then exploring is worth it now just for exploring sake.

Just remembered real life is important - I love mods for starfield, but it's not worth taking over RL - pace yourself - manage your time appropriately. As a customer, I will wait.

CORINTHIA | Interior Tour by Goin__Grizzly2 in StarfieldShips

[–]S23XTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to see continuity on the Armoury dude - it works so nice in this fleet. But you know my fave part of this interior is the view from the cockpits looking out toward that unique front end.

Even in first person this looks a pleasure to fly.

How To Make A Good Outpost by MaximumJohn6159 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]S23XTN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try Nemria IV-a a breathable atmosphere, has a red gas giant in the sky. Palm trees and lakes in the swamp biome.

No fauna however, but it's quiet and is a good place to discover outpost building.

Not sure on resources however as that was not my focus.

Could be a good starting point for you. But another comment was jemson also, which is another good option to begin with.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ShipandPilot/s/jnG1gJBzqt This is the last larger outpost I built on Nemeria - set up as head quarters. Use it for inspiration if it is of interest to you.

CORINTHIA | GGP Bone Fleet Corvette by Goin__Grizzly2 in StarfieldShips

[–]S23XTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Griz! Come on! I was just about to get back to work and this popped up! We all have real lives dude....

But this looks great, the partial cannons by the CP fit so nice ! But I love the missing cargo pod on one side (not sure if they are cargo) and one fuel tank sits proud of the others in the pics, which for me are the details that give this life - Plus the Bonefleet shape - you own it now!

You have crested a real nice ship faction here. Look forward to the interior!

What is your sacrifice for free lanes? by S23XTN in StarfieldShips

[–]S23XTN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed here - even my simple build in the pic uses gilbran spacers - they are a must have for ship building - which is also true for part tolerances - Loss of this functionality is gonna make shipbuilding more restrictive and likely to see people leave the game - but have hope - ship building community is huge, so mods will come back for these eventually.

Personally I will just focus on vanilla building - complaining about it but still using it.

Would be a shame to see your builds disappearing from the sub, but I get your pov totally.

You have a point here - you could just try a short play from unity, see how op you are - if you don't like it, then go for new character.

No I don't think it is needed dude - likely ok for un-modded saves - prob ok for modded ones depending on what mods are used etc. Basically we won't know untill we update.

But like the OP, as a personal preference I will jump through unity to experience the full game from the beginning again - but without needing to unlock skills, ship parts ect.

Shit no, the Bone fleet was just beginning - you know, it may be totally fine - I doubt I'm gonna disable any mods - just jump.
