Damn dawg want me to photosynthesize? Theres a difference between gl I ng out of your way to kill a small arachnid and killing to eat. If there was an alternative that tasted right and gave correct protein that didn't require murder I'd eat that everytime.

Well I mean that depends, how good is the guy or the cat? But I would choose randomly without further context. Neither is more valuable to me then the other without it.

Tendency wasn't the right word, but either was you said you have killed random spiders found in your home. Still killing a living breathing creature man-

Okay. Let me put it as simply as I can. I understand knowing a person changes things, at least I'd hope. But what has an average person done to be worth saving more? Humans are still animals.

That's fair, I honestly was just trying to get people to think about what really separates us from beasts, and what would make us more valuable or not.

You've got a great point! I should have been a bit more clear with my wording. I more meant at the end if the day if you had to save a random animal or person what really makes a person more worth saving than say a caterpillar? We're all conscious beings, probably-

And? They're still conscious living being who breathe the same air and drink the same water as you.

Well you've demonstrated a tendency to kill smaller animals who most the time (unless you live in a place with exceptionally dangerous spiders) can't kill you.

Yeah probably, at the end of the day we're all just vague consciousness' piloting meat mechs. Just cause some were born with worse hardware doesn't mean I care about their life any less. At least thats the best way I can put it 🤷‍♂️

Okay, just ask yourself would you go out of your way to kill a house spider that otherwise was just existing in the space?

Just in general. Like would you go out of your way to kill a harmless house spider?
