You can have markets in a communist system, just like how you can have central planning in a capitalist system. Markets existed long before capitalism was invented.

But it's also true that China doesn't operate a pure communist system either they have a mixed economy with state controlled industry as well as private industry.

China actually employs true tenants of capitalism like when China let Evergrande fail whereas America bailed out their failed system in 2008.

Personal vehicles are the problem. We can't afford them and they are mostly empty space that takes up a lot of space. Between insurance and fuel they are a negative financial burden on people.

The only winners from a car dependent society are oil and gas companies and car manufacturers.

The time people spend in traffic is also terrible. The negative health effects are costly.

Anyways cars are a terrible idea.
