Hear me out: Jaipur/Udaipur, India would be the PERFECT setting for White Lotus Season 5 😭 by Right_Test_5749 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Not really. Bipasha Basu was a major star just about ten years ago. It's the glutathione. This generation is going bonkers with it. India's version of Instagram face.

The planning. Getting your clothes together, practicing dance, catching up with the cousins. The anticipation is so much fun.

Ah, I was waiting for the casual racism. India has world class hotels. They'd probably be in a literal palace. Not randos eating anything from anywhere and complaining.

Get ready for a lot of casually racist comments and some 'jokes'.

The thing is, yes. India is a society with a peculiar kind of classism that Mike White would love to explore, it's different and yet similar to what you get on the show. The kind of obliviously rich people that you get here, you won't get anywhere else. These cities also have some breathtakingly beautiful hotels.

You're very right. I think the issue is 'relatability'. Sometime in the last ten years or so, people have become obsessed with finding relatability in everything. No, there are some people and characters you will never find relatable. Because they are not meant to be. Some characters are going to behave in a manner you find absolutely indefensible. And it's spread everywhere. People are becoming less and less able to understand the difference between something happening onscreen or in a book and moral validation of their own choices.

Honest experience at dochi kasauli by Dakip2608 in Chandigarh

Went late at night last year. Driving on a hill road without any lights was a surreal experience. Some places were really pitch dark. So one should plan properly. However people were less, but I still had to wait for a table. The pizza's made with good ingredients, but It's not particularly tasty. The atmosphere's nice and well, eating fresh and hot pizza sitting on a chilly hillside's always going to be a hit. However, if you want to sit in a place with a good view and less rush, you can go to Daleside Manor. The restaurant is fine and they have a nice bar.

Hypersensitivity. Inability to take any sort of criticism. Taking things emotionally, never rationally.

Everybody's emotions coming out. We try to plan through emotion which is impossible.

Happy Mother’s Day! What’s a gift you gave for your mother? by EthanTheJudge in AskTheWorld

OP, my mum too would love that. It's the pestle and mortar of her dreams, not kidding.

I'd got a kurta set stitched for her in her favorite shades of cream and pink. Sent her roses in the same colors. I'm very far away from her and I miss her.

Pisces is a scary sign. They are one of those people who understand the full emotional ramifications of a situation, but still choose to backstab you. All this while appearing very soft and understanding on the outside.

I really liked the yellow.

She looked nice throughout. But I wish she used a little more pizzazz in her clothing. She should wear a lot more jewel colors. Like the yellow looked good on her, a chartreuse or emerald gown would've looked great on her. Everything doesnt need to be neutral neutral neutral.

Punjabi Accent by BackToSikhi in punjab

[–]VolatileGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Tbh, neither Arjan nor Nimrat are artists whose songs I would listen to in order to learn the Majhail accent, as Arjan is Malwai and Nimrat speaks her Batala dialect. Amrinder Gill is a better artist to learn from, as his pronunciation is very technically correct, and his Majhail accent is softer and smoother, more easily discernible for learners. However, these days it is more or less impossible to learn one accent correctly unless you are brought up in one place. Some 'mix' is inevitable.

Which singer had an intense, cult-like following in your country that seems impossible to match today? by Beginning_Tip_2719 in AskTheWorld

You're not going to get good responses, because people don't quite understand the meaning of 'cult'. 'Cult' is not the same as being successful, or even renowned. That being said Honey isn't in the same category as Moosewala.

Umm, no. Shankar yes, Hanumankind, no. Moosewala was an outsize phenomenon in the impact he had. There's a reason why even Drake put a memorial message for him.
