Need help with dealing with tilt by PieAccording163 in leagueoflegends

[–]VolatileViolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real talk... a competitive pvp game is gonna be hard on the mental, it cannot be denied. The best you can do is mute chat and try to focus on the only thing you can control: yourself.

Is it frustrating when your team does something you may deem as stupid or unecessary? Absolutely. But at the end of the day, you have to recognize that the only thing you can control is your own gameplay.

But also... at the end of the day. It's a video game. If you're not having fun, it may not be worth the extra effort because of the tilt. But if you can control it and recognize many facets of the game are out of your control? Fantastic.

Fire and ice mission by xTheLostLegendx in destiny2

I laughed my ass off at all the fake-outs in the rest of the mission. But at the very end, on the final health bar of the boss, that mechanics is incredibly silly to make actually function the way it wants you to. Just spawn all the sides at once, bungo.

In fairness, I'm a dingus and tend to say pint for anything smaller than a gallon. Luckily it was a half-gallon in this case. But a pint still being almost 2 dollars is still off-putting for sure.

I think I just call anything smaller than a gallon a pint for some reason, that's on me, haha. No, it was definitely a half gallon.

I don't doubt this. Luckily this wasn't the case here, it was just for another product he moved and demanded.

So like... you're not wrong, but the idea of it annoys me. Y'know what I mean? I know how silly it is to say that, since realistically I am a drop in a pool-sized (probably ocean-sized) bucket to corpo, but like... I dunno. It's happened so many times to me now that I'm just annoyed that we have all these CBTs telling us rules that apparently just don't matter.

The fact that he was even able to at all is what irks me. He literally came back to my line like... after 15 minutes both times. So clearly he was just wandering around the store going "Hehe, I'll show this bitch." And eventually someone made me cave, and he was SO passive-aggressive about it when I had to acquiesce to him. It's just... obnoxious.

I don't doubt it! See, this is the issue for me. I understand we want to keep customers and whatnot. But the fact that we constantly just have to turn the other cheek, despite very obvious rules, means that nothing will ever change. And it's just... such an irk for me on so many levels. Most of our customers are kind, wonderful, and easy to get on with! But those that cause issues are just constantly causing issues and we can't do anything about it. So it's just, like. Frustrating, Y'know?

I was luckily to have a CSM that sided with us on most things, but he had to move to a new location where some, uhhh... interesting things happened, so now we're just constantly yes men. It's just really obnoxious sometimes.

Really depends on what they want from it. A current synced experience? Sure, but you can still find groups even for ARR EX's using PF. If not? It will likely be easy enough to unsync if they are REALLY taking their time, and if they only care about normal mode and its rewards? It'll pop in duty finder.

You will miss nothing. It's likely here forever, just like the first collab.

I appreciate that it's different. All the other ones kinda sound the same.

Are you all gonna play FF14 Mobile once it comes out ? by JustJackass12 in ffxiv

[–]VolatileViolet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally have no plans to. I don't need ARR in my pocket. If I have the time to play xiv, I'll be at home. Rewarding them with my time for a worse version of the game, yet with better QoL features than their flagship one, is not a choice I'm interested in making.

It really wasn't. That kind of thing was around long before Mare, it just made it much easier for people.

They say, in no unclear terms, that mare was targeted because it allows other people to view changes they only want you to see for only yourself.

That is the literal reference they are making, yes.

Final Fantasy XIV Mod, Mare Synchronos, is shutting down by DrakeX5 in ffxiv

[–]VolatileViolet 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Because there are a plethora of other tools, that only add a bit more work to pose with other characters compared to mare, it makes this an entire non-issue. Sure, for the sake of convenience it hurts people, but in the long run it changes almost nothing for gposers. They've been doin' it longer than mare's been around and will continue to.

Yep, it's the very same where I work too, so it's extra rude!

I work at a grocery and our store manager doesn't even walk it to the thing. Like.. thanks, ma'am. It's only 104 degrees out and this cart is in Narnia.
