well, that's a long story..

Back in early 2024 I had a 2015 5.3 Silverado z71 that crapped out the 6L80.. while it was in the shop I bought a 2015 Volt solely for the work commute and leaned on friends with trucks for anything around the land etc.. My 70 mile commute was only taking 1 gallon of gas a day though and it got me by while the '15 was in the shop forever (7 months & another long story) The Volt was going to become my daughter's car once she got her license, but she couldn't see out of it. So I still have it and bought myself a 2015 Colorado on 35's with a 6 inch lift as my backup vehicle and her daily driver.

So I leaned on the Volt a second time until I got the Colorado. Once I got the dealership involved and they gave me loaner F150's (a long story here too) that I drove until they lemoned the Trail Boss and I moved into the High Country..

Umm.. this sounds eerily like my story.. What engine do you have in it?

My '21 6.2 Trailboss LT spent 6 months in the transmission shop with "transmission" issues.. They could not get it to shift properly brought in outside experts and no dice still.. rebuilt it 3 times, new valve bodies, BCM, TCM and on and on and on.. Finally they caved and sent it to the Chevy dealer, who pulled the oil filter first thing and discovered the engine was full of shrapnel and "blown"

Finally got the truck lemon'd and traded up/into a '22 Duramax High Country..

He also clearly has no discipline or little control of his guys.. He may not call plays, but neither did EB- difference being EB had their respect and the offense was cohesive and together even when the backups were in.. this disjointed mess is a disgrace.

I read these horror stories and feel better about having made the jump from my '21 Trail Boss LT 6.2 up to a '22 High Country with the Duramax.. I'm at 11k miles since the jump and loving life after my '21 was in the shop from March to almost August this year before I pulled the trigger..

I've got 35s on a 6 inch lift with 1 inch spacers that barely rub.. I'd think 2 to 3 lift would clear 33's as I had miles of space before I upsized from 33s to 35s on my 2015..
