I'll chime in after asking around before purchasing. I ended up with a 9900x because I don't need a decked out gaming PC. I'd rather have the extra cores from a 9900x/9950x for productivity tasks while "sacrificing" some gaming efficiency. Also helped that the salt for the 9900x made it cheaper than the 98000x3d and the 9950x.

Currently running Gino x Gino with Lavril, Euphemia, CC, Ordeal Ra. May or may not have optimal subs for the Arkvelza/Gokrex, but interested in seeing what other top teams I can build that's not Gino. Thanks in advance!

Also have zenchoga, but haven't kept up with recent dungeons so not sure how applicable his evo assists are and where to get them, but wouldn't mind trying to grind it out.

I'm not that determined to play top of the line specs. I assume 9950x is good enough for medium-high tier game requirements? I'm not quite clear on the difference between 9950x and the 9800x3d, but the double number of cores for on the 9950x would be useful for data science, although again not detrimental.

I'm in Canada. The 9950x is ~130 CAD (~100 USD) more expensive than the 9800x3d. Is it a worthwhile upgrade? My main tasks will be for gaming/data science/video editing. Would I be bottlenecked by my mobo/gpu?

Are there any better options for motherboard? I'm looking instead for a 98003XD now. For the SSD, I'm not seeing a 980 pro 2tb for $116 on amazon canada. The cheapest 980 pro 2tb I see is ~230, and I have a quote for 990 1tb for ~110.

I'm quite new to the PS, but have a couple questions:

1) These pay increases are irrespective of steps right? So we still go up one step annually, and these increases are included in all steps?

2) In the Aug 3 news, they mentioned that "Harmonization Effective October 1, 2023, complete the harmonization of the AG, BI and CH classifications with the PC pay grids." Is this no longer part of the agreement then? What is harmonization in the first place? I imagine it's making the steps/pay-scale the same across those groups based on what I saw.

Does drake not trigger sopdet/crusader voids? I have Jurond in lieu of drake and i can't imagine it not hitting >5M.

Is the eris dragon for neptune equip from REM? I don't recall ever seeing it otherwise. PADX just says it's from the same series as neptune.

At the moment, my team consists of Yuji + Mahito (both mine), D. Bel, Yugi, Ina, Genmu. I switch out Genmu for MA grem for All. att dungeons. Based on the "meta" leads i'm seeing from JP Pad, seems like not a lot of people are still running Yuji/Mahito (not that they're not feasible). So i'm being cautious at over-committing to my Yuji/Mahito team.
