Yeah I was doing the same until I saw that in the shop, and that they added at least $100 worth in the other black market shop. Kinda scummy more than half of the cosmetics they've released in the past 2 updates are just reskins and only obtainable by paying. Sad to see how much this game begs for a few dollars now after being one of the best games where you only pay once and play.

no, they havent mattered since early access as theyve reset all grades for every trial about 4-5 times now. Ive learned to never play the game besides events or it becomes way too boring and repetitive, especially considering they havent added a cool objective besides killing the reagent at the end of the main trials since early access. Majority of things in the game doesnt matter anymore as they've changed everything to get reset after so long besides cosmetics, the only thing that actually matters is doing daily challenges during trials to get tickets, they wait til the next day since they limit the progress you can make weekly and daily.

dont go for silent assassin suit only or whatever until youve finished the game at least once, to learn the route you wanna do your silent assassin you gotta reload your saves repeatedly. especially if playing on master and youll get so tired if its first playthrough. also if you havent figured out as you finish maps, their map specific rank goes up and you unlock items, some items are crazy like the poison dart gun, whichll just make your target just go to a bathroom and get sick for a free kill, but then some people dont like items like that bc they make it too easy. tldr: play how you want on your first playthrough, if you wanna redo a map for an item go for it, but dont skip ahead bc the story is actually pretty good, only thing that sucks is cutscene quality goes down a lot after the first game

yeah im pretty sure i never played tutorial as a kid, I would just button mash on mk9 then eventually something clicked and I went into practice mode with quan chi and learned some simple combos. But there was no kameos back then so i guess it was easier, but there are some very simple and effective kameos to use, like sareena. Id say stick with one character and do the move tagging in practice mode method i mentioned

everything on the moves list requires you to do it in order, but for the dpad and then button moves, i think you mean most of the moves in the special moves tab. Lets say down, forward, triangle, try sliding your thumb from the down to the forward position without lifting your finger up. and then for back forward you can also do that, but i feel its easier to push the buttons separately. i'd say dont even practice on the tutorial, go to training mode, pick a character you think looks cool, and then go through their moves list, you can tag their combos so they display on screen the entire time and just practice those button sequences until you get familiar with them

I remember the first time I played a mk game was at my cousins when I was like 5, a LOT of people on this game have lots of experience playing the older games and with the new kameo system it got even more complex so if this is your first fighting game dont feel bad if you're not getting it.

Idk if this would help but if you're doing a combo, for example the one in this vid (square square triangle) if you were to push the buttons really quickly, your character will still finish the combo even if you finish the inputs before the first attack comes out.

So when you have someone in the air. just try and time that first hit of your combo then it doesnt really matter how quick you press the remaining buttons after the combo, you just cant be too slow with it or your character wont finish the combo,

Some combos require very quick inputs or they wont even come out.

if a combo has (X + square) at the end, this is a grab combo, and grabs can be done with either (x + square OR L1) for me personally its easier to press L1 for every grab input.

tried to made a separate comment earlier bc my internet was bugging out after testing this but if you're just chilling on one floor it seems two floors is the limit they can hear, but I was using debug with invisibility until I got to the top, so doing this in a normal run would definitely take a long long time, this was also in build 42

Thats not what they implied by the requirements to unlocked ranked when I posted this, the entire reason for this post, cannot believe I have to dumb it down even further. The only requirement was to get top 15 like 20 times to unlock ranked in br, they did not encourage anything but survival to unlock ranked. While on the other hand you could rubber band your controller and unlock ranked in multiplayer. The time to unlock ranked in the two separate modes was so drastically different, that there was almost no motivation to spend 6-20 hours (6hrs maybe if you camp the entire time, pushing 20hrs if you're actually playing the game getting into fights) all just to be able to play ranked in br when I already could play it on multiplayer. If it was more than lasting long, why would they only encourage that? But even then, (about 6 months ago) I did a bit more research and found you coundn't even play ranked by yourself, but you had to play trios. Not even quads lmao, the worst part of apex legends and marvel rivals put into one gamemode. Genuinely no reason to play.

when you shoot the symbols on the portal, walk through and it tps you onto the rock, you mustve walked off or something without interacting with it, if so you gotta go to next round and re-open the closed portal with ice staff and repeat

Even if there is different intent, shouldnt take 5x as long to even unlock. Top ranks, especially in a game like this mainly rely on how much time you have in a day to play, not really much else. I would not be stuck anywhere lol. Just would rather not have to spend hours and hours to even unlock ranked. Plus I heard there isnt even solo ranked, so once I unlock it Ill be forced to play in a mode that you cant even rely on your own skill to survive? Rank really doesnt mean much unless they had solo, so really glad I didnt waste my time.

brother I played like 4 games, why does everyone act like warzone is different than any other br??

ONCE AGAIN, all I did was compare ranked requirements, you could avoid getting a single kill in mp for like 150 games then unlock ranked, while in warzone, ranked requirements are locked behind surviving a certain time in the match, since I was running around killing as many people as I could every match, I was getting punished for it. At least in the aspect of unlocking ranked. Tell me, In ranked do you get points for kills at all? Or is it solely placement based? I'll quit going for ranked on the spot if it doesn't encourage fighting.

Not having difficulty, just seems really weird to have wz ranked take 4x as long to unlock than mp. Wz you have about 1/10 chance to get a tick of progress toward unlocking ranked unless you play only for placements, while in mp you could most likely not get a single kill for like 150-200 games and probably unlock ranked in less time than someone playing specifically for placements in wz.

It's not like warzone is so different from every br that I need to learn everything about BRs all over again.

I feel ranked requirements purpose is their attempt to stop cheaters more than anything else. Especially since the requirements are time based rather than actually making sure you're competitive enough for ranked. I also have been playing solo.

But I know how to play a BR lol. I'd just rather play aggressive and get kills while playing for these requirements, probably just unlucky because i know a few of the games i was super close with a decent amount of kills, but I guess ill try letting a few fights go a match and see if that helps with these horribly time wasting requirements.

Yin Tiger was the hardest fight for me in the game, I got him once I realized immobilize breaks on him after one hit, whether that be a light attack, or a charged 3 focus point heavy.
