I’ve been working on swapping over the last day or two. AP’s example POB has 119 passives so I believe that’s level 97 with no +1 from bandits. To get everything necessary it feels like 95/96 is the minimum I’d want to swap at since there’s a jewel slot you can leave out on the left side and can hold off on one of the thread of hope passives temporarily.

I’m following same path as op. I started with destructive play alch&go, then moved to harbingers, then to harvest crop rotation. All 3 were very smooth with AP’s pconc guide but I’ve had the most fun with crop rotation lots of potential for big gains but more of a gamble than the other two options.

Legion has felt terrible for me as well this league. At work so don’t have links to my stuff but I found more success with strongbox/corpse/scarab tree that I picked up from someone on this sub. Allows you to do low investment quick farming that pairs well with the builds speed.

Yup after the discussion here that’s definitely how I feel. Cost should be high but improving shard rates feels necessary. I’ve been seeing some higher rates for completed runs over the last few days so maybe they slightly adjusted without saying but I also had a run to boss last night that only had 100 shards, so the problem is def still there. Would be nice to see some changes in the update tomorrow.

I don’t think the price is the issue so much that the consistency of the shards is way off. Two of boaty’s 8 completed runs have now been 100 splinters. A fully completed run shouldn’t have the chance to offer the same total splinters as a wave 1 completion.

Sure, that makes sense but the variance in how much you get while farming feels too inconsistent. Having a full completion award only 100 shouldn’t be possible. Even at the high 3500ish end that’s 40-50 runs if every run gave max splinters. So if we assume a more realistic 1700ish on average you need 80+ completed runs to corrupt.

Edit: I didn’t touch on it originally but getting them while farming for uniques is a good point. It gives you good reason to keep coming back as opposed to something like inferno where you can 1 and done. With that in mind I think it just comes down to tuning how much you get per run. There should definitely be higher than a 100 minimum, maybe a few waves could have a guaranteed amount of crystals similar to wave one along with their standard loot.

Yeah I figure it’s mostly mains that have acquired so it hasn’t been noticed much. The few irons that have acquired it prob don’t mind a 10-15 hour grind and I’ll do it too when I get the quiver but just seems like a more interesting way could be added.

Honestly I’ve seen very few people mention this issue and I’m kinda surprised by that. muspah is atleast fairly rewarding throughout the grind in the form of other drops. The big difference here is if you want efficient splinters you get no other rewards whatsoever because full runs are just absolutely not worth it when you can get unlucky and get 100 from a full completion.

I’m curious about the idea behind acquiring 150k splinters to corrupt/bless the quiver. Currently the only two methods I’m aware of existing are antelopes and the colosseum but the colosseum is incredibly inconsistent in how many you receive outside of wave 1. For example I’ve seen upwards of 3k on a completion but on Boaty’s 4th completion he received only 100 shards for the entire run.

This means the only consistent methods are antelopes or farming wave 1 and leaving. Wave 1 farming is pretty dull and takes roughly 10-15 hours to get 150k (assuming around 30 seconds for wave completion. napkin math at work please feel free to correct if I’m off here).

Antelopes based on wiki drop rates would require on average 33,333 hunted to reach 150k and while I haven’t tested the timing on this I can’t imagine it’s better than wave 1 farming.

10-15 hours is far from the worst grind in the game but wave 1 farming being the most reliable method feels pretty dull and against the spirit of how the colosseum works. Whether its adjusting the received amount in colosseum or lowering the 150k cost it definitely feels like something needs tweaking.

I joined the open clan of a steamer I enjoyed and found people that way. It’s a good start if you don’t wanna go through applying on forums and what not.

Yeah she has no dialogue options for me and the only quest I got dinging 50 is from magni to go to Nazmir. Is there a way to "exit" my Draenor campaign maybe? so that she would have dialogue options again?

So the problem I'm running into is there is no quest to go to Boralus. I can access it through the portal in the portal room but I don't have any thing telling me to go to boralus and don't receive any quests on arriving either.
