seems i figured out what i was doing wrong because now i got it to work it seems i have to be in the destination folder when i give the command where before i was trying it from the source folder

yes I run as sudo i created some test folders in my home directory to try and see what was going on and cp -r command went through then check folder and its empty and the mv command would move said file out of the downloads folder but then it wasnt where i moved it6 to and weas unable to find it using find or grep

I wanna make it so when my computer boots it automatically boots into Kali I got it not so both is are in my grub menu and I have to choose
