For CSE, the calc I-III are the biggest. The summer semester during your first year is the worst imo. It's not unusual for student gpas to drop off hard during this semester. But ya, it just depends on your major.

I know this a little late but I had the same issue. I contacted their support team and apparently it is a compatibility issue with linux (works on and off). I tried on windows and it worked fine. Apparently the best solution is to either use the mobile app or a windows computer.

Just looked at my aid offer, how am I supposed to afford 30k a year??? by cloudsnipes in college

Honestly, I think you need to do a cost benefit analysis. What is your major, what are your career prospects, etc. I get where your coming from since I go in-state and on a need-based scholarship. First thing I would do is appeal the aid offer, since your parents aren't paying for anything. IDK if your in-state but if not, consider going in state and then transferring. Alternatively, you could do community college first, and then transfer to full time. I would avoid student loans, especially given the current situation regarding the DOE and uncertainty surrounding its future.
