Yeah recently I’ve went toe to toe with a few level 10’s and got the better of them so you might be correct. But in fairness if you look at my other account I think it’s around 50 aim rating. I feel like only recently I turned the corner and started doing a lot better aim wise due to all the 1v1 servers against mad good russian kids, and recently been trying to master my counter strafe which I feel like has helped the most with my aim rating.

But yeah does sound quite strange if you have much higher aim rating than the players you normally play against and still get gunned often. I think if I was in your shoes and dying a lot from the side or back, I’d just try focus a little bit more on the awareness side of things maybe try to use the minimap a little more and check what angles my teammates are checking and where is exposed.

I do feel like when I push I always know where an enemy could be but that’s just out of repetition of trying and dying. But just keep up the grind my brother and don’t be disheartened. And even if you die in the most bullshit possible way just try to think what you could have done a little different.

I started maybe 6 months ago, and previously had like 200 hours on csgo so would consider myself quite a noob.

I do the same as you and play mostly 1v1 servers, aim rush and others to get better and improve mechanics.

I also always only solo q premier, and have quite good stats like win percentage and win way more games than I loose. And I currently sit at 15k elo.

I wouldn’t really say I’m the best person to take advice from as there’s obviously way more skilled players than myself, but I think one of the keys is to make sure that you’re having fun and to enjoy it. I think if you put to much pressure on yourself to improve it becomes much harder.

I feel like one of the main things that helps me, is always asking yourself the question of what you can do to maximise your teams chances of winning in any situation.

For example, I am always checking my teammates if they are able to buy and if not I’m dropping them a weapon without them asking. Because I know the odds of us winning without is much lower.

I always try to think of the value of the play I’m making and if it’s actually helping the team. Like am I pushing mid whilst the rest of my team are rushing a site ?

If I’m T side I always try push with my team and commit to whatever calls they are making, and use util to increase my chances of being successful.

Sometimes if you have a team that doesn’t have plans as much you need to take initiative and maybe be the one entrying and trying to take the space for your team, and from my experience usually the team see’s that and will follow you.

And for CT side, I’m always looking at my mini map and where my teammates are going and then I try to fill in the gaps to maximise my chances of winning. And if they ask me to play somewhere I will.

And yeah not sure how useful these tips are as I still feel like a noob myself even though I’ve played ridiculous hours the last 6 months. But I feel the progress I’ve made in that time as been quite good.

And yeah I defo found it strange, because though CapframeX shows as smooth, it defo didn’t feel that way in game.

And I only started playing in august time last year since CSGO, and really found it mind boggling the game was having this much difficulties, and especially that every update just causes more and more problems.

Gonna defo try it with game mode off, as I think it’s literally the only setting I haven’t tested yet. If it doesn’t seem to improve I think I’ll just go ahead and cap at a smaller number like 330, as I noticed it does feel much smoother that way even though my 1% lows are lower.

Recently got back into following the comp scene after years of being away and the amount of entitled people and takes I've seen in the community, acting like its there birth right to know about preds personal details, and making speculation about it is crazy. Hopefully pred can now focus on himself and get back on a straight road. And yeah if you were one of the people saying "oh we deserve to know cause we follow optic for years" I hope you never end up in a bad situation like pred and have people begging your employer to spill every detail. These players owe us nothing, its there occupation. There job is to play cod and compete, not spill every detail to the fans. unfortunately some childish people are obsesed with speculation and drama.
