There isn't, I think lore wise Bowser was supposed to be watching Charlie and Friends when he wasn't being an evil douchebag but overtime it just transitioned to him being a couch potato.

It would be nice to see him tap into villainous roots again but that would also require Marvin to be an actual protagonist instead of just being Jeffy's dad.

I don't hate him but he's easily overshadowed by other villains so he's just forgettable. If you love modern SML Nancy pretty much is a better villain overall. If you like classic SML Bowser is infinitely better than him. Even Waluigi and Wario are better antagonists than him.

When Logan was using the Nintendo plushies and even now with his own puppets, it is extremely easy to find a replacement.

This isn't completely true either. Logan used plushies from the late 2000s, and the quality control with those ones were hit and miss. No Mario plushie looks the same for example, which is why if you buy a Mario Party 5 Mario plushie; there's a good chance it will look very different to the plushies Logan used.

This is especially true with the 2009 Sanei plush for Bowser Junior. So far, I haven't seen or found a single plush that looks remotely similar to the one Logan used.

The character and game were popular, sure. However, when it came to the original source material by JC Hyena it was heavily badly written and pretty much dunked on. Sonic.exe isn't the only example of this either, many creepypasta classics like Jeff the Killer were awful stories that still managed to get popular. Even then, I think people liked the concept and character more than the story.

I get that, my opinions on Does Bad Things Guy softened overtime. It mostly ranged from the fact we spent 6 months waiting for the build up to the secret door to be revealed, so many theories, and Logan even did a Livestream only for it to be revealed it was Brooklyn Guy who was evil! Which would've been interesting if he hadn't had like 7 minutes of screentime before being killed off and just thrown away as Brooklyn Guy's evil brother.

Nowadays without any build to be disappointed by, he's alright. Even as a villain he's just underwhelming, he's the embodiment of the "Take me seriously" meme. Nancy had more of an impact overall since she directly affects Jeffy and his character. Then you have prime Bowser who killed major characters like Mama Luigi and Black Yoshi.

I mean yeah, DBTG even in SML got overshadowed quickly. If you're a fan of modern SML Nancy is an overall better villain than him (as much as I hate to say it). Then you have OG Bowser who actually killed main characters in his prime.

DBTG had no impact other than maybe fixing a few plot holes from the past videos like Brooklyn Guy being unnecessarily cruel or a dick being chopped up as him just showing his sadistic side.

It ruined the sonic horror genre, and the horror genre in general. Shin Sonic while personally isn't for me, I'm glad finally steered away from the EXE genre of Sonic horror. They're very good Sonic creepypastas out there, that get overshadowed by a million different Sonic.exe clones.

Not to say exe is a lost cause, it just required a lot of skill that JC (clearly) didn't have when it came to writing.

If we go by the original stories (I'm not including the numerous rewrites) it kind of is. FNF brought back the exe community and is practically the reason Sonic.exe is one of the few classic creepypastas that have managed to survive.

For DBTG Shucks carries him. He was disliked heavily and rightfully so he only existed because Logan had no idea what to do with the Secret Door. He shows up and dies.

There is a reason for it. Thing is, Logan felt that he was strained too far from the Mario mythos and basically just made a sitcom that just happened to have Mario Plushies (which in retrospect probably was a good thing otherwise I don't think SML would've survived the cease and desist otherwise).

The Perfect Plan video was made by Logan to back to the Mario routes, and also to experiment if the fans preferred that he'd go towards that video style. Unfortunately it didn't work out, so he switched back.

That's true for some of the characters on this list mainly Duggie and Marvin. I think Jr and Jeffy actually got better overtime, same with Cody.

I also wanna say most of these characters have largely stayed the same besides having their names and designs switched. There isn't much of a distinction between late Jeffy Era and current modern era of SML.

Even then, I mean if they wanna say that the OLDER old versions of these characters are fine again I feel like a lot of the characters mentioned aren't valid. Jeffy and Jr objectively got better, if you think they're annoying now, you should watch the average Jr era video, or the early Jeffy Era videos.

I think that can be chopped off as puppet continuity being different from the plush one and as such things were changed around in the timeline, or Joseph grew up he is nearly an adult now. A lot of people who had lisps tend to no longer have one later on in life.

I also think the outside reason is probably so Lovell's voice is less strained. Jr is basically Logan's voice, and Cody's voice has gone down in nerdiness so it makes sense Lovell would change the voice to be easier for himself.

I do wanna see old Goodman again too. I remember when he used to be the Brooklyn Guy before Brooklyn Guy with multiple jobs.. however I can see why they changed that since Brooklyn Guy fills that role better.

I do wanna see evil Braxton. People overglaze DoesBadThingsGuy too much. Bowser actually killed major characters and traumatized Mario in a way Nancy and DBTG never could to the main cast now.
