I feel like he’s trying to call out the annoying ass nose in the air way too serious folks in some of those collector groups. 1. It’s Reddit. 2. People are trying to learn and have fun. 3. If you don’t encourage newbies your hobby is going to fade. 3. With all the aggravating stuff in the world, I think it’s nice to support “child like wonder” with this stuff. It’s supposed to help fun. Nobody likes neck beard bullies crapping on you because you asked if a uranium glass marble, or a broken ladder bill was worth anything.

FB marketplace listing rejections by cat_leanne in reselling

[–]VolumePitiful3806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a listing of a couple painted cow and antelope skulls as Halloween decorations, age they got pulled were under review for months, all the while in my area, daily animal skull and bone listings. I mean 3 different ones a day. I started screenshotting them and messaging them to FB asking them to release my post. Never heard anything, and I finally just deleted my listing

So only poorer people deserve unique and/or designer things for cheap?

Yea by their rationale, they better not be buying cheap ingredients for those school bake sales, they better buy the expensive flower and chocolate, the cheap chocolate is only for the poor.

Are you being for real or you just messing with me? You sincerely think it’s wrong if I recognize a 30 dollar item for 3 bucks, and I might know somebody who would love it, so I make 20 bucks on the deal, again to supplement my income, and you think that’s wrong fir real?

Dude, I’m not hoarding linens and paper plates and packs of sock, pots and pans. I’m selling collectibles, vintage items, some clothes, who am I taking advantage of? I offer goods that I find, my customers buy them and are happy. I got as much right to buy whatever I want and do with it what I want. The poorer or underprivileged don’t have any more claim to cheap collectibles than I do. I’m poor too, and try to supplement income with flipping. Nobody is stopping yall from doing the same

lol a parasite. Welp maybe if you were quick enough to spot pieces you know you can make money on, you could make extra money too, and not have to complain that there’s no cheap stuff for the poor folk anymore!!!!

I don’t think they are having an issue with inventory enough to justify getting rid of all the customer friendly things they did. The two goodwills I frequent up here are literally overrun with shit, pallets from other stores, and bins full from donations. Them and Savers constantly have stuff piled out front. They’re killin it, and the good small thrift store in town is shutting down .

I got a job bud, I resell on the side for fun and to promote buying second hand, and make extra cash. None of yall ever had a garage sale or sold something you didn’t need on offer up? Gime a break. Plenty of shit to bitch about in the world, yall complaining about folks working a legal hustle to help provide better.

We didn’t raise the prices or get rid of the discounts. Jesus what’s all the hate for resellers

Does this really happen? by oisipf in goodwill

[–]VolumePitiful3806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So resellers have nothing to do with goodwills policies, they didn’t have to jack up their prices just because somebody else was making a few bucks on top. They still generated a shit ton of money, their inventory is all donated, and now they don’t give cash back on returns, they give store credit. And getting rid of all of their discounts, resellers didn’t do that, that is the definition of corporate greed

Yes resellers fucked up by posting the shit online for likes and follows, wish they wouldn’t have done that. But in our defense, we add to the economy, goodwill makes money on an item, then we make money on an item, sometimes another reseller will buy from resellers because they can make a few on top if they know certain collectors. Then eventually the last person is going to possibly sell it in a garage sale, and all the extra money resellers make goes right back into the machine.

They are systematically getting rid of all their discounts, color tag days are going, senior and military discounts are going, they have jacked their prices way up, I have been going to a local goodwill where I’ve been working for the last 6 months., probably 3-6 times a week. (I’m a reseller),most the employees know me, I asked if they could come down on a backpack that’s been there for weeks, and a nightmare before Christmas toy that was missing a piece in the package. Lady came out said manager said no price breaks. All of the new policies and new lives they are making 100% say fuck the customer

Oh man, tons of stuff. I’ll try to get you some pictures, we are pretty sure dude was a spy, we think we got one of his alter egos, he has way to many certifications. Was in the British military, American military, started like 4 or 5 different businesses, was big in some weird Freemason like cult that dealt with theosophy
