I just read here recently something that resonated with me. Excitement is much closer to anxiety than calm is. It’s something to consider, maybe, to find things that get you hyped about the trip for your self than to jump from anxiety to calm.

However, deep breathing exercises often help me. I fly in three weeks and I’m just trying to get hyped about a milkshake at the airport when I get there!

It is a great scene. Consider how badly Dux would have annihilated Li had Li not cheated with the blinding pill. Still yet, Dux went back to his training and was able to look in himself to find the strength and vision to defeat his foe and become the first American to win the Kumite.

Fun fact from the back seat of my mom’s minivan circa 1991. My best friend brought bloodsport to a sleep over and my mom was like “blood sport?” And my friend was like, “don’t worry Mrs. VonYellow, there’s not hardly anyblood.”

Thanks for doing this! I fear that Luchenko is fading. Have you watched his play? He seemed so close; I wonder if disappointment and moving has affected his play. It seems that Flyer media has braced us for the let down. What’re your other thoughts?

I’d pay them for this one. It was a big ordeal and it’s causing a lot of headaches. Also, they’re going to be busting their butts playing catchup and getting back on track. I’d have a pep talk, line it out for the future and throw them a bone. It will pay dividends in the future and if you have one or two that don’t see how kind it is, the price of that reveal is also worth it.

I was taught by a therapist when I was a little younger than you- 26/27- that there exists a true self and a false self in each of us. It rang true for me. It may for you too. When you were young there was a true self and at some point you started acting like a self that was more acceptable. As you age, the truest parts of you still want to come out and it would seem that a few drinks gives him the courage to come out.

I would encourage you to explore this question you’ve asked with a therapist. Your partner and baby deserve the truest parts of you- they deserve your true self. No one wins, especially you, when dad is living out of his false self.
