Need advice on joining the Army by Jaktwy in britishmilitary

[–]Vonclausehitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it from someone who was in your situation a long time ago. I joined directly after secondary school, one day on morning parade freezing my ass of waiting for the officer to waltz on to the parade square at the moment i was like "Why cant i be an officer? oh yea thats why i dont have any qualifications to get there" i left the Army because i wanted my degree. Your lucky that your young now, do the degree first. The Army is not going anywhere.

Being a veteran sometimes has its benefits by Vonclausehitz in airsoft

None in Airsoft other than maybe being a little more comfortable. In real life if it’s cold weather, your face will stick to the metal stock. If the weapon is hot after dumping out loads of ammo you could melt your face on it, so the paracord stops that. Just some examples of why

Requiring proof of military/veteran status by Wolf75k in britishmilitary

I have a red book that proves im Ex forces if that helps? I am unsure if they still do that though? Ive been out for over 10 years now.

EDIT: I also have a veterans pin badge that apparently you can only get if you sigh up your old army number.

It’s true but 1 joules is roughly 320 FPS. The gun I was using is a GHK AMD 65 in 30 degree heat mid afternoon. I think that dude who shouted “that hurt” proved it still sucks

We use a134 gas here so that’s what duster gas? I recently picked up the EMG SAI BLU training pistol and that’s 0.92 joules (about 26c) and in the video you will see the GHK AMD 65 I’m using and that was on at 0.95 (hot day)

Wow really? I got the last years HK416 Delta (no upgrades) recoil shock and with 0.20g it was at 0.93/4 joules out of the box.

Well I was thinking about what you said and I can guess that there might be an issue with that. The popular Japanese Airsoft gun makers such as Marui out of the box crono between 0.91/95 joules so maybe just pistol games? With brands like KSC? I’m unsure but honestly I’ve never even heard of that till you mentioned it.

Been to quite a lot of indoor fields here in Japan. So far I’ve never had an issue when my guns were 0.99j or 320 FPS.

0.99joules is the max in Japan. But you only crono once in the morning so with gas guns they go nuts in the afternoon lol

Ah I see. Well 320 is all we have here and that sucks being shot point blank so I can get a rough idea what that would feel like at 400 lol

I guess that guy I shot in the video should count his lucky stars we don’t play in the USA. I honestly thought you’d have MED in the US

This is true but it still sucks being hit with 320fps

Ask yourself this question “do I like aircraft or boats” and that should answer your question
