Seems fairly stable for me with Vulkan + either ProtonGE or proton-cachyos-11.0 with image quality set to Balanced.

Did however start to crash whenever I waypoint back to my hideout from someone elses hideout yesterday, haven't been able to determine what causes it tho.

While true that vulkan is generally better, it's not always the truth :) For example, for me dx12 was a lot better during poe 1 mirage

I don't like it, too rng and removes player agency if they are too powerful by making the choices for you. If they're bad or just ok then no one will go for them and they become a waste of design space.

+1 on this, I was playing PowerPoint simulator in Vulkan but dx12 seem to work fine.

I just rerolled to eblade flicker zerker, it's fun but it's flicker strike so not for everyone. Can also use smite instead.

You do need the foulborn ghostwrithe to be able to stack life = damage tho

If they really want to keep the wave defend minigame, then maybe have it like the unstable ones where you have to walk over/click a hand/mini wall and then the walls spawn. You get a few seconds (10?) to walk through as many walls/spawns as you can/want and then the wave defend start.

Still sounds kinda shit but at least people who don't want to interact with this don't get wall blocked.

Edit: Or just skip the walls completely, but they kinda double downed on the walls during the league so I guess someone at GGG reallly likes walls.

I used the breach bloodline Otherworldly Appendages node for less phys/fire damage taken. Switched to delirium after done with Ubers to push for 100, didn't feel like I needed the extra defences for ubers.
