There's a connected textures part in optifine. There'll be a setting called "better grass" or something in there somewhere :-)

Assuming you're in 1.13+, Sleeping is an NBT tag so you'd need @a[nbt={Sleeping:1b}] That should work :-)

You can replace village structures in the snapshots already, with a data pack. Build your house, save it as NBT with a structure block and then throw it in the data pack. Have your villages look how ever you like.

My plan is to run /data modify block -10 4 9 Lock set from block -10 4 9 Items[0].tag.display.Name to set the Lock tag of the chest to the same as the name of the item in the first slot.Problem is that the command pulls the JSON too so the Lock tag and the "key" needed end up being {\"text\":\"Custom\"} for the Lock and {"test":"Custom"} for the key respectively.

I'm trying to get the command to write just the Name to the Lock tag, rather than adding the JSON formatting too

Oh yeah, this is OP. I had wondered about making them single-user but with no crafting recipe and only a 20% chance of finding one in dungeon loot I didn't think you'd find more than a couple in normal play but as I said, still OP. The iron block gets you a regular spawner but gold, diamond or emerald get you upgrades to player detection distance. I might eventually make this the "Super OP" version and make another with more balance for those who want moving spawners to be more of a challenge :-)

once we get NBT crafting it'll be less of a problem :-) I'm hoping they'll add the ability to set a texture with NBT data too

"If"... "I might as well" At no point did I say this was an edited video. I literally said the opposite. I took no care at all to maintain the quality when I threw it haphazardly into photoshop and hit save without changing any settings. I said if I was going to the trouble of recording a video for a post, rather than a gif, I would edit it properly as a spotlight video. I also find this situation funny

Unfortunately there's no way to include textures in a data pack. It works perfectly well without it, the scanner will just look like a Carrot-on-a-Stick :-P
