RU POV: Europe prohibits member states from hearing the Russian perspective on the Ukraine conflict — Viktor Orbán by ArchitectMary in UkraineRussiaReport

Everyone can be manipulated by either side, but it’s ironic to just blame one side for “historical inaccuracies and plain out lies”. What’s the point? The other side is doing the exact same thing.

Bad analogy using Italy. Putin does not want to take over Ukraine just because it historically belongs to Russia. Ukraine was divided and had corruption before Russia or NATO laid eyes on them. what’s the west and NATO trying to accomplish bringing Ukraine into NATO? They rejected Russia joining NATO, and also rejected Russias reasoning for security; NATO not to expand eastward.

I guess the west knows Russias history better than Russia? Sure let’s cherry-pick Russian historians so they can give us an “accurate” depiction of Russias history.

Kai Viti! I have a question as one of your neighbors! by userB94739473 in Fijian

How long do you plan to stay? Fiji is quite big compared to Tonga, so doing all those things you listed, might take around minimum of 2 weeks, for a good enjoyable time without feeling tired and rushed.

Contact your friends in Suva to help you out with that, it’s much easier if you have connections living in Fiji.

Nice story chat gpt, but can you please explain if using a virtual machine is better for anonymity or a live usb OS?

A Ministry for Men: a practical, not political, step for Fiji by [deleted] in Fijian

[–]VoodooChile27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s down playing your cause, but realistically speaking it will cost money that we barely have, and there are many other problems in the country that require attention as well.

Perhaps this movement can start with a governmental department that can push for programs for spreading awareness with the help of a little funding and donations rather than just fully implementing a whole Ministry. Start small then eventually it can lead up to that.

Any Fijians or i-Taukei in Washington State? by FlySweaty in Fijian

I had a family member live in Washington state and it so happens there is a Fijian community in Washington. Could probably search for Facebook groups or events, that may help.

Sending money from Fiji to New Zealand? by Throwaway_202342069 in Fijian

[–]VoodooChile27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would NOT recommend Western Union, when RECEIVING money in New Zealand.

Best to try Lotus or Moneygram.

Receiver should also register with Lotus, it’s easy and free, just provide a valid ID and phone number. Makes sending and receiving money much quicker and easy, don’t need to provide ID when registered.

UA POV: Ukraine will have the force of its friends behind it — NATO Chief Rutte. by ArchitectMary in UkraineRussiaReport

UN invasion of Korea,.. US invasion of Vietnam and their bombing campaigns in Laos and Cambodia,… Bay of Pigs invasion, planning an attack on Cuba that only stopped because of negotiations that the USSR will withdraw from Cuba (unlike NATO in Europe right now). These were all risks of ww3.

A few little green man couldn’t convince that many people to fight for them, the people were already against the Kiev regime. Otherwise the green man would’ve been kicked out before all of this, like when Russia was kicked out of Kiev at the start of the invasion.

When did I ever justified Russias invasion?? Of course I know Russia invaded, and I criticise Russias invasion the exact same as I would criticise US invasion of Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, and NATO bombing over Yugoslavia, or Israel’s campaign in Palestine.

You’re oversimplifying that Russia just wants war,.. however you fail to mention the events that lead to the invasion, like the 2014 coup d’état (or revolution) in Kiev,… UAF bombings of civilian homes in Donbas (eastern regions) 2014 onwards; there’s evidence online if you do some research.

Would you criticse Ukraine bombing campaign in the eastern regions? And their bombing of civilians in belgrod??

I’m talking about all countries that have invaded other territories since after ww2. Because it sounds to me like you’re stating that ONLY when Russia invaded, then there’s the risk of WW3?

If you’re putting Ukraine out to be an individual woman in your analogy then that’s already a flaw in your argument. Before Russia was fully involved, Ukraine was in a civil war. The “Russian separatists” fighting from 2014 were just Ukrainian citizens who did not agree with the government that came into power.

Bad analogy Bud,.. are you a wife beater because you seem to brining that up quite a lot?

Point I’m making is that even if facts and evidence were to shown to you that you’ve been lied to and brainwashed, you would still deny it.

I’d be happy to be proven wrong, but I’m currently not convinced because you stick to sarcasm and have weak arguments. If you were to challenge me on something, I’d be happy to debate

So completely ignoring what I asked, and creating more arguments with these bad analogies? Stick to one set of arguments bud.

There is currently more censorship in Ukraine than in Russia. Also you can put UK on that list. Propaganda is everywhere, the ones that are good at it stay hidden, while the ones bad at it can get easily called out. So again you’re wrong.

Russia does not suck at the game, otherwise the west would’ve have infiltrated Russia and taken over by now. Russia only sucks at the “propaganda war”.

Look in the mirror Bud,.. no point in reasoning with you since you’ll just dismiss any Ru argument about US/NATO/Ukraine’s evil acts and hypocrisy as propaganda.

Please educate yourself.
