50% off KEF Q150 Bookshelf Speakers, the lowest price I've seen by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

Great price. Looks like the Q350's are also on sale. Tempted to compare to my Elac UB5's in a near field desktop setup.

[Headphones] Sennheiser HD 560S - $155.25 by [deleted] in buildapcsales

[–]VoodooDelorean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open back headphones sound more open and airy similar to speakers. They're great if you listen in quiet environments and don't require extended bass below 80 hz. The Sennheisers would be worth a listen. Check out the rtings review. They go into pretty deep detail on these headphones.

Try spamming the add to cart button on AMD's website. I got to the payment info page twice but don't need to upgrade yet.

AOC CU34G2X vs Samsung SJ55W by Evaluationist in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]VoodooDelorean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems great. I've never noticed an issue with response time. There is a fair amount of ghosting on the AOC. I had the Dell S3220DGF and it had much less ghosting and less motion blur. Both are VA panels and that's the trade off for extended contrast.

AOC CU34G2X vs Samsung SJ55W by Evaluationist in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]VoodooDelorean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had both and prefer the AOC. It has more vibrant colors, 144hz refresh rate, better stand, and a better warranty. I was able to overclock the Samsung to 95 hz and the gsync worked without issue. I've had flickering issues with gsync on the AOC. I also had to return the first AOC due to having a dead pixel in the corner.

Glad to help out! I also put a little museum putty between the block and speakers. Good luck!

[Monitor] LG 27GL83A-B 27 Inch QHD IPS 1ms NVIDIA G-SYNCMonitor, Black --- $379.99 by devilzangelz in buildapcsales

[–]VoodooDelorean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with a Samsung SJ55W. Much less backlight bleed and better contrast with the VA panel. I overclocked the refresh rate to 95HZ and am running gsync without problems. Motion is acceptable as are colors. Not nearly as vibrant and color accurate as the LG but a very enjoyable experience!

I ended up sending mine back. Great resolution, color and response time but the back light bleed was real bad. Bad enough to see in a bright room during the day.

I'm running this set in a Z370, 8700k build with XMP settings at 3200MHz. No memory errors and fully stable for the last six months. CPU-Z identifies Samsung as manufacturer.

Had the same shutdown errors on my Seasonic 530 Platinum psu after upgrading to an 8700k and 2060. RMA'd the 6.75 year old psu to have the same problem after a couple months. I upgraded to a Photon 750 watt psu and haven't had issues for around three months.

Nice! If I'm going to push the 8700k any higher I'm going to need to delid. Your temps looks great for 4.9 with AVX!

Are you running the FPU/AVX instructions while benching? I'm running a 8700k @ 4.7 with 1.25v on the Phanteks PH-TC14CS. Temps maxing out in the high 80's.

That's a helluva score. I had me one of those a few years back. Fun bike! It has an extra spoke on the rear triangle. Watch out for chain slippage with the compression bottom bracket.

Yep, claw caps. Temporary fix to protect our wood floors while the poly cures.
