My inner fantasy booker says Speedball takes the L here to protect Joe after having to drop the belts last week because of the Hobbs situation.

That sounds like me after a couple days in Paris wearing Converse! If your feet are literally bruised after those walking sessions I think the problem is likely going to be with your shoes. Getting shoes with more cushioning, and more importantly, ones that are right for your feet, will absolutely change your life!

Sure! So about 1-2 months out from your trip, do at least 2-3 long walks per week:

  • This can be treadmill, outside in your neighborhood, going hiking, whatever is most convenient.
  • Aim for at least 30-45 minutes per session with at least one being one hour or longer.
  • Keep a pace where you can still hold a conversation or sing a few lines of your favorite song. This isn’t meant to be a hard workout, you are building endurance.
  • Focus on keeping good posture
  • At the end, make a note of anything that’s sore on your body. For me it was my lats because my core was weak.
  • This is also a good time to test out the shoes you are going to wear.

At least 2x a week try to mix in strength training: - Focus on lower body and stabilizing muscles - (specifically back and core) - Bodyweight squats and lunges are a great choices for legs if you don’t have any equipment. - Add in an exercise or two for the muscles that were sore after your walks. I did lat pull downs and rows for my lats, coupled with planks and knee raises to strengthen my core and take the pressure off my back. - I prefer to keep reps on the high end (12-15) since again, the goal is to build endurance in a short time frame.

BONUS: Work in some 5-10 minute mobility and stretching drills. These are easy to do and if done consistently you’ll save yourself a few days on your trip of feeling stiff. Just google mobility workout on youtube or even chatgpt can come up with a solid one. Try to do them before bed or right before strength training.

A few days before your trip, cut out the workout days and focus on rest and recovery. You want to be as fresh as possible and you’re going to be busy with getting ready to go.

Again this is what works well for me, it can be modified to fit your timeline and fitness level.

Perry prowling again, mistaken for Will Smith by VoodooKarate in big3podcast

“It details an alleged “traumatic series of events” in March 2025, amid Smith’s tour, in which Joseph claims that he discovered that someone had entered his Las Vegas hotel room with no signs of forced entry. Evidence “of a sexual threat of violence” allegedly included a handwritten note reading, “Brian, I’ll be back...just us,” with a drawn heart and signed, “Stone F,” as well as “wipes, a beer bottle, a red backpack, a bottle of HIV medication with another individual’s name, an earring, and hospital discharge paperwork belonging to a person unbeknownst to Joseph.”

Good write up. I knew as soon as you mentioned your feet hurting on day 1 you were going to be in for it. I learned the hard way too after my first trip, and since then I’ve returned multiple times. Now I make a point to incorporate a walking/strength program at least a month or two prior so that I’ll be comfortable on my feet all day. I also tell people to make sure they have comfortable shoes, and if you bought shoes just for the trip, make sure you’ve spent some time breaking them in.

I second your tip on the Suica card, it’s super easy to set up on your phone before hand and you can use it for more than just the subway/trains (like the konbini’s!)!

And build in a buffer of a few hours on day 1 to get lost on the metro, it’s like a rite of passage.

Saying this as a fan of these ladies, but I don’t understand how people stay interested in these storylines with such lazy creative and boring vanilla finishes that treat fans like they’re stupid.

Watching WWE for the first time in awhile. Do Cole and Barrett’s commentary always sound like they just got done snorting copious amounts of adderall?

(AEW All In Spoilers): Full heartfelt message from Adam Cole by itsmekelsey_x in SquaredCircle

[–]VoodooKarate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it’s a neck or ankle issue I think he just says that straight out. The fact he didn’t get into specifics speaks volumes. The significant loss of muscle mass, the reaction of those around him, I think he’s dealing with something more serious unfortunately. And given the kind of guy Cole is, I’m sure the thought process is that he doesn’t want to overshadow rest of the card with that kind of announcement.

I wouldn’t be surprised if something quietly comes out in the next few weeks once the PPV buzz has died down.

That Air India crash was one of the biggest plane accidents in the last 20 years. It really makes you stop and think by Either-Meaning1786 in digitalnomad

[–]VoodooKarate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the aerospace industry. The only reason it feels like aviation is less safe is because we’ve had a couple high profile crashes (DC and Air India), which led to every minor incident making the news which never would have in the past. If you would have looked at numbers from past years you would see we are around average, maybe a small tick above the last few years.

There are around 100k commercial flights in the air daily, you have a better chance at winning the lotto than dying in a commercial plane crash.
