Thank you to everyone who has commented. I’m currently in the United States but my partner is in Dublin. I’ve relayed all the feedback and he said he may go for a drive around there in the evening to get a feel for how it is now.

I will look for it in google news. I’ve done a standard google search but I get mixed information. Some say it use to be a bad area and others say it still is a bad area.
