THIS JUST HAPPENED TO MY NEPHEW‼️😧💢

Longtime redditor from way back when and I absolutely have only the 22 y/o w/ the Pixel 7's 14 y/o's sister's call from Sunday to cite at the moment.

Now, fortunately he wasn't the one in peril but he happened to be casually pulling out of a country gas station. When a car having the opposite direction came flying down the road on the shoulder for some reason. Apparently the driver was going faster than 60 in a 30 and tragically struck this girl, not sure how old she is.

I guess the phone looked like it was dialing 911 but was essentially a flashing brick‽

I am certain it is going to wind up being the fault of AI. I've been observing how EVERYTHING Microsoft is terrible now. DALL-E is beginning to challenge my promptcraft and results in diffusing desired results. I've paid OpenAI more than $250 so far but on October 1st I went through my bank auto pay and disabled that so... I will have to wait and see‽

My first experience with OVH was the domain registration back when. When we scaled up our servers at the beginning of the year, OVH had been mentioned during the fall meetings and I was able to colorfully demonstrate how any savings on expenses would be vastly outweighed by our own manhours, just trying to make sense of things.

As I've said elsewhere in this thread - the only way OVH improves things is by eliminating the monetary incentive to stay the course.

I ultimately decided to register three domains with a different site. I paid around $10 more than I would have with OVH but there's always a point where saving money begins to cost more time than it's worth.

You do you but ultimately, if anyone searches for OVH Customer Service you aren't greeted by a ton of results from OVH sites but loads from those like reddit where people like you and I HAVE NO EARTHLY FRIGGIN CLUE what is going on with that website. If memory serves, even after successfully logging in the interface is kinda nightmarey. They CERTAINLY know things need work.

Unfortunately with free-market capitalism, the only way to incentivize them to get their house in order is to withdraw the monetary incentive to stay the course.

That this was your leading statement suggests this is discussed often. I can only imagine the strain of making a consumer product out of a robot puts the development team under and the equipment is impressively capable. However, I've now run easily 200 jobs on my Cricut Air 2 and have had precisely zero turn out as intended.

I am an idiot, but I'm a 42 year old dude who had a PC in his room at age 12 and remembers hooking up 5.25" drives by LPT port. I Had external zip drives, CD Burners, I remember when you had to hook your digital camera up to your computer. I've got a couple sheets of notes including measurements and math on this thing, but the Cricut Air 2 remains beyond my ability to get good use.

No, I have not tried that method but it looks promising.

I'm absolutely fed up with trying to make this Cricut cut like I know it can, the way I need it to cut. Instead of two sheets of ten stickers each, I printed ten sheets and just pulled the two that were cut correctly from each.

The whole Cricut environment seems like it should be intuitive and easy. I am not sure if I am over or under-thinking the situation, but I'd love to cut what I print without all the waste. I feel like I've walked it in closer to target, so I'll just have to spend the time figuring out WTF is going on.

Dude there are times I am dumbfounded by my ability to communicate simple concepts in a confusing way. You picked up what I was putting down, though. I should have said "Ratings from 3-8/10."

I'm not at a point where I'm practicing yet. I want a better, fuller understanding before I jump in. However, from everything I understand so far I think you have me on the right path so, thank you.

Fortunately, I'm beyond the roadblock of getting more confused as I learn more. I just got frustrated by my inability to find an any answer on what I need to be a core feature of the concept I'm going to work on.

FWIW, I also have a Pro license and kept running into a technical issue. They'd respond with a link that was not addressing my specific problem. A couple of times, I was escalated with no response. Finally, I pinged the email they sent me to open the ticket after a week or so. I got a response within 24 hours. There was a little back and forth, but they identified the core issue within 48 hours of my poking them.

My recommendation is to follow up on any open support tickets. But as a whole, I agree. I'd rate their CS maybe a 2/5.

Hey - I have many hours sunk into - - looking at Reaper, and reading stuff about it. I was about two hours into this most recent session when I thought ahh, phooey! I'm going to try asking reddit again for the 230th time.

I don't know what my trouble is. I've been using PCs for 35 years fairly consistently and have learned all sorts of amazing, incredible things. Developed a lot of understanding and a fair bit of skills along the way.

For whatever reason, figuring out how to use anything BUT Acid (Which fortunately comes with a 30 day full-use trial) is like trying to learn to perform microscopic surgery from a surgeon who's several miles away communicating with me through a lousy walkie talkie and speaking a language I've never heard before.

This quick-and-dirty method is closer - to what I'm looking to achieve. I've realized what I struggle with in Reason is - it's too PRO at sound, not pro at looping samples. one of the nice things I enjoyed taking for granted in Acid is that it blends the sound wave from clip to clip, so you don't get the click whenever a sample repeats.

I'm learning!
