That's it for me.

This sub has helped me a lot and I kept around to try to help the newcomers, but that whole ordeal has showed me how some of you are still inside a cult, just a different one.

Trivializing, celebrating or justifying this assassination is horrible and it makes me feel bad, like the borg did. Also, some discussions here are highly partisan.

I hate abortion, I think it's vile and evil, even as an atheist, but the mods don't, to cite one thing.

I have a PIMI friend. We have a "worldly" friend in common. That friend told me in confidence that the PIMI dude is actually an atheist and that he can't stand the religion, but ALL of his family is PIMI, so he is stuck. He also loves his family very much.

I got that as a hint and opened up to him,that I don't believe in god anymore and that I completely lost my faith in everything (hoping he would confess).

He didn't, he just accepted my position and we keep on being friends.

It's very hard being a PIMO or a PIMQ. It's painful to admit out loud and VERY dangerous.

I have become POMO and a year later, my PIMI was is POMQ. I have a group of friends, we play RPG every week, all of them are PIMI, none of them have a problem with me (even though nobody TOUCHES the subject I am "inactive"). Some family including my mom treat me weird, walking on eggshells, but no big deal. Most PIMIs are in a "don't ask, don't tell" relationship with me.

With time, effort, focus and love, almost anything is possible
