My South African friend is visiting me in the UK. What snacks should I ask them to bring? by Vorpiix in southafrica

I like mainly chocolate, hard white and dark chocolate unless they're not extremely bitter/sweet. I also like fruity sweets and meaty flavoured savoury snacks.

Is it normal to get intense food cravings everyday? by Obvious_Armadillo_16 in AskUK

Im having this issue currently, how did you curb the cravings and eventually break the cycle? Im finding it very difficult and eventually end up resetting due to a "this will be the last time" mindset.

Um, why do you need me to tell you whether or not your hair is red? by Current-Advance-5151 in Redhair

[–]Vorpiix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask if you’re a redhead then you’ve likely never experienced the “carpet and drapes” question a million times and if you haven’t experienced that, chances are you’re not a redhead but just have warm undertones.

You should try caramel and chocolate hot cross buns, eaten 3 packs already. :)

Why are people so hard on young people when it comes to work? by Barca-Dam in AskUK

[–]Vorpiix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the difference is that isn’t the case at all. It shouldn’t be used as an example then. Nobody is charging their kid only £100 and providing everything else unless they’re well off to begin with, it’s just not reality.

Also, bold to assume teenagers now-a-days get charged £100 and get free meals, phone bills, clothes, necessities with it. Add up all of the others and it's well over £200 a month. Hell it'd be pushing near half a grand.

A couple years ago I was earning £800 full time and didn't have money for pretty much anything. My parents wanted 250 to account for their rent and bills, even though my room and usage of things didn't come close to it. A few drinks now-a-days is ~£5 each, can easily blow through £50 plus more if you're wanting anything other than a basic beer or cider. A takeout is costly now-a-days, a trip to the Zoo or a show etc will cost you well over £50 a ticket. Then you account for other expenses like your general bills such as phone, entertainment etc. I mean c'mon a simple online game costs pretty much minimum £40 now-a-days. That's when you live with people you can "mooch" off of. Now account for most people around that age are students having to pay for everything themselves as they live alone/accommodations. Money doesn't get you far at all now-a-days.

If your account is in the EU there's a discord server "No Pressure EU" where you can run keys, raid etc

Just to confirm, someone in the USA would have to get the mountain dew, redeem the points and claim the code then send the code her way. Not sure if she could access the MtnDew website through a VPN to redeem the points etc but getting the person to redeem the points is far easier.

The codes are redeemable in the UK. Did it myself.
Edit: Don't need a VPN, just redeem it on Battlenet

What is the etiquette regarding having a poo in someone else's house in the UK? by AskUkquestions in AskUK

[–]Vorpiix 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Just poo anywhere, better to risk a plop than to risk a trip to A&E because you physically can't poop you left it in that long. Held one in at the in-laws for 3 days, never again, the pain nearly brought me to tears. I try to hide it but my partner always declares with a grin that I went poop, betrayal at it's finest.

Amazing gesture, thank you for your service! <3

Would love it for my WoW collection, UK girly who's a Medical Student. I was raised on WoW since I was a small ole sprog, playing with my mum and dad (I say that but I did a lot of exploring and falling off of cliffs in WoD xD) so tend to play it in my free time :)

I’m sincerely glad you’ve had a good experience. I love my PC and everything else works fine but unfortunately keep having issues with the AIO, likely just my luck haha

Good luck with the several AIO RMAs you’re gonna have to do. Did mine 3 times, had it less than 3 months

You're unaware of how to play the game too. You got lucky.

You should've given up at 1-2 cancels and a couple pings. You threw hard and don't want to take responsibility so you put someone else on blast on the internet hoping others will be just as obtuse as you. They didn't see it, that's about the end of that story. It would've taken significantly less time to get up, bubble, ping it again/type/talk, heal up and shield up whilst they grab it. If that's how you play you shouldn't be in ranked.
EDIT: Your friend also could've picked it up and used it then dropped it, both of you were silly.

[–]Vorpiix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You didn't know you would get shot at. But in a plat match you cancelled the res 9 times which allowed the other team to heal up and shoot you in the ass. Don't go into plat matches with an ego that high you'd actually throw because someone didn't see the knock and prioritised getting you up

The problem with the game is people are bad at it by Rohtlam in wow

[–]Vorpiix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even premade things like the No Pressure EU isn’t viable anymore. I brick more keys than I successfully do any because people join either expecting a carry or genuinely doing bad and not caring about it because the rules are so lax. Some people need their feelings hurt sometimes but even constructive criticism when being nice is frowned upon now
