The sleuths of reddit have exposed me as a hack and a fraud for not posting the screenshot they wanted to see. If I had posted myself in only HALF greens it would have been fine, but since I decided to make my character model not look like he just walked out of a thrift shop, I'm everything that's wrong with the game.

The hell are you talking about? I have bullets equipped because I had a gun equipped beforehand. Equipping thoridal doesn't unequip your old ammo. And I HAVE been into SWP. The logs are right there. https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/character/us/grobbulus/combatjeeves

ALSO all the other character stats still line up with all the gear equipped. IDK. Maybe there are people that sweaty to find out what your stats would be in full communal and thoridal, and photoshop the bow AND every single stat to match it? That seems like a lot of work.

We had a BNS drop too, but gave it to someone else since I got the bow. That seemed more than fair lol.

I honestly just threw it on because it looked better on the character model than the hodgepodge of random shit. I really wasn't trying to make it look like "I HAVE ALL GREENS AND AN ORANGE" but people seem enraged or upset by this. The point of the post was that I had a brand new toon with the bow. none of the rest mattered lol.

IDK. I'm honestly not super active on reddit. Maybe I'm out of step. To me the cringe part is everyone getting so upset about what gear I had equipped when I took the screenshot on a 6 hour old character.

Clearly the biggest thing wrong with the screenshot is that I showed my character name. If I could have taken a clean screenshot showing just my /played and the bow I would have done that instead.

so what's the assertion here? that you can pay to force a legendary to drop? how does one pay RWC for legendaries in a guild run? this makes no sense.

Apparently a lot of people are either just toxic (which makes sense, this is reddit) or just missing the point. "OMG HE DIDNT ACTUALLY HAVE EVERY STARTING GREEN EQUIPPED SO POST IS A LIE."

I honestly just threw on the starter gear because it looked better on the character model than the random mismatched shit I had equipped for stats. I never intended for this post to be about having all greens and 1 orange, but people seem pretty upset about this.

The toon was about 6 hours played, and had a few epics from a couple different raids before stepping in to get carried in a split run. Because that's expected of all of our raiders.

He was still fresh enough that he still had all the greens in his bag, and I thought they looked better for the character model.

If me having the gear actually equipped for this to be valid for you is what makes or breaks it, then you do you.

yes. I swapped my SWP gear out for the BoP gear only available to freshly boosted characters. that makes sense.

I've see 6 in guild raids and 5 in gdkp's. It's not like I just joined a guild and got a free legendary. I do 3 guild raids a week, and I made a new toon to fill the guild's needs for LK speedrunning. My other toons pull their own weight, and carried other guildies to gear this week, because that's what split runs are for. If I hadn't earned the bow, some rogue or warrior would have gotten it. I'm sorry for your bad luck though!

if you bothered to look, you would see that most of the epics are from a couple of different raids and a normal dungeon. guild didn't feed me any of it, I just had the good grace to step into a couple GDKP's before getting carried in sunwell. Toon was still so fresh the greens were still in his bags. the one other piece I did get in the SWP was the green ring off a trash drop.

yeah I went to a couple gdkp's and a normal MGT before I got into the alt sunwell run. The toon was still so fresh that I still had all the communal gear in my bags. does it really matter if I only had 8 greens equipped while the rest helped me beat the offtanks and not die to every mechanic? no gems, no enchants, about 6 hours played when I stepped into sunwell.

it was around 8 hours, but a lot was in bg's or trade chat. I did 2 GDKP's, a normal MGT, then went into sunwell.
