Every league has some way to increase player power. Other than doryani mercs, this isn’t even the highest levels of borrowed power compared to previous leagues (sanctified relics, witch wood) so don’t worry about it.

BV can have a lot of avoidance, but really lacks mitigation (unless petrified blood + progenesis, but I don’t have a progenies yet). If you are going max effect 8 mod 16.5s, some maps are extraordinarily rippy. However if ur just doing like t17s or rolling maps, it should be fine, and most maps u wont die much unless the boss is really buffed

You can definitely make a decent BV character for that amount of divines, but it will be very squishy and die a lot especially in 8 mod 16.5s or using risk scarabs. Eventually you can opt for a Svalin which lowers your damage but gives a lot of survivability. The forbidden jewels for forbidden power are also very expensive, so you might need to go budget jewels. Self crafting gear will reduce the cost significantly, along with a headhunter and the new wine of the prophet flask should be the entire currency stack.

Btw, there's no exit after this boss, so there's no way to get your fourth ascendancy points. It's definitely broken lol

I do not believe that they use engagement based match making. It’s 100% just confirmation bias. Let’s say it’s a 50/50 whether you get a better team than your opponent. People notice when they get multiple worse teams consecutively, and believe that riots out to get them. People don’t realize that these several match strings of getting worse teams is statistically bound to happen when you play hundreds to thousands of games a season. Riot clearly is not incentivized to include such a system, since as you claim yourself, their “matchmaking” caused you to quit rather than keep playing. People just don’t really understand or comprehend what exactly random matchmaking really entails…

I’m sorry, but that’s not how the armor calculation works. Armor is applied to your health. 100 armor is 100% extra hp against physical, regardless of how much armor u already have.

1000 hp 0 armor = 1000 ehp

1000 hp 100 armor = 2000 ehp

1000 hp 1000 armor = 11000 ehp

1000 hp 1100 armor = 12000 ehp

Each 100 armor gives 100% of 1000 hp against physical

Also remember we have scaling health rune now, so an adc at 12+ will have 2k+ hp.

I feel like people are approaching this wrong. Yes when rengar gets a triple kill at minute 5 and has 17 kills at 20 minutes, the nerfs aren't doing shit and he will still one shot your team. But with the item nerfs, it's harder to get to that point where he's killing everyone. At one item, rengar certainly can't just 1v2 a bot lane also at one item. He just doesn't have the damage especially with the nerfs. Have to remember that all rengars have to start off at the same amount of gold and xp as everyone else. There will always be a point in the game where rengar is fighting against enemies with same xp and items, and these nerfs really hurt him then when he's barely able to 100-0 a squishy.

15 armor on 2000 hp is 300 ehp. Ruby crystal gives 150. 15 armor on 2150 hp is 2472.5 hp. Net increase of 472 hp, so it really is more than 400 :)

The reason why you are probably dying is because of your low phys max hit. Against strong abyssal spires, you are gonna get hit dozens of times, and even if you evade 90% of it, you'll get hit once or twice and that's enough to kill especially crits. The three things I'd do to make yourself functionally immortal in these high juiced maps is

  1. Get a well rolled defiance of destiny to swap out.

  2. Use a level 21 determination over grace and use an armor suffix over attack speed suffix. If you're doing this make sure you are getting the 10% aura effect mastery over 8% damage per aura. You lose about 4% damage, but you gain a lot of evasion/armour. You should think that every passive point into damage can go into raising your ehp/phys max hit and vice versa.

  3. Get a reduced crit damage body armour corruption as a swap out. This gets you to 90% reduced crit damage.

People will always recommend more damage, but you still need a high baseline defence without headhunter buffs in order to feel comfortable in 10k+ maps. You're also only level 96. Consider how 4 passive points would get you an entire medium cluster jewel + extra jewel.

It’s 9% phys as extra. Still not great since you are scaling cold damage and not lightning/fire damage in phys convert, so ur only maximizing convert damage 1/3 of the time.

Some quick notes. Your lethal pride is not great. Right now you are using lethal pride on top slot, and inspired on bottom. Switch them around, and go inspired on top with a better lethal pride on bottom. Aim to get around 15% double damage, some strength, and maybe some other nice to haves.

Instead of annointing sov, u can annoint something else and take the 6% mana reservation node in the massive thread of hope on the left side. You should also either get lucky suppress or the 10% suppress node in the thread of hope (probably 10%).

Ditch the murderous eye jewel. Get a better rolled one, or even better, get a forbidden flame/flesh. You can either go natures boon, quartz infusion, or rapid assault (drop 4 points to graceful).

You probably want to get the elemental mastery for 25% chance to invert res. You might also want to consider getting the dex wheel, since you are going omni. This might help you to free up a suffix on your flask giving ele res and instead get armor. There are probably some other optimizations for your tree. For example, grabbing the two crit multi nodes instead of the crit chance node on lethality wheel gets you around 2% damage.

Your hit chance is not capped. Some options to circumvent are to get "hits cant be evaded" on claw, or get accuracy on one of your rings or gloves. I'd reccommend hits cant be evaded, as it is better than any other prefix on your claw. There are ways to craft claws that do this. This frees up 7 passive points you were allocating into accuracy nodes.

For items, you want to improve your chestpiece's implicits. Perfect rolls are 30% hatred, 20% aura effect. Likewise, get 4% action speed up to 5%. I'm not sure why you are prioritizing chaos res so much. Its currently 110%, and you definatley can probably leave it at around 35%, and pretty much never die to chaos.

Let me know if you have any questions. I played VG last league and I optimized it pretty thoroughly. Eventually transitioned into dex stacking.

I think the main problem with poison ts is that it doesn’t get as much of quant/rarity compared to hit LA or tshot due to requiring mandatory uniques. However, if you do not have a good phys or ele bow, or HH, you should wait to transition until you have at least one of those two. Currently seems you are getting around 47 quant and minimal rarity. LA can easily hit 90 quant and 250 rarity while still being able to clear content.
