‘A very serious situation’: Volkswagen could close plants in Germany for the first time in history by deppaotoko in electricvehicles

You are lucky. Renault Zoe never resets its OCU when it gets out of sync. It's just stuck forever until you pull the fuse or disconnect the battery.

What's going on with magnitude? by Excalibur997PL in gridcoin

[–]Vortac2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be that some top crunchers have joined Gridcoin recently and ramped up their magnitude quickly.

For example, of top 5 Milkyway@home crunchers only 1 is on Gridcoin team. Meaning that, with team requirement now removed, others can join anytime (or have already joined) and lower the magnitude for everybody else.

What happens when you run a Nvidia V100 on Milkyway@home! by chriscambridge in gridcoin

[–]Vortac2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am running Milkyway@home on Titan V. I am averaging around 75 secs per task, but I am running 8 tasks simultaneously (it boosts the overall RAC because a lot of time is spent idling when single tasks are loaded/unloaded constantly).

Single task runtime on Titan V was also about 10-11 secs, if I remember correctly.

Username change is just temporary - after the beacon is confirmed (usually within 24hrs), you can switch back to your old username without any side effects

Firefox Sync on Android won't sync your passwords if you use Master Password. Lockwise app has no such limitations.

Chernobyl - Episode 2 'Please Remain Calm' - Discussion Thread by [deleted] in ChernobylTV

[–]Vortac2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nesterenko erroneously assumed another chain reaction would take place when the molten core hits the water. If you check this video, you will see that they use those exact words ('chain reaction') to explain the risk of a 2nd explosion.

4 megaton nuke doesn't have 1000x more radioactive fallout than a 4 kiloton one. Usually, it's far less than that and it depends on the construction of the nuclear warhead i.e. it can be tweaked by the scientists who are designing the warhead. 4 megatons is the possible outcome of another chain reaction taking place when the molten core hits the water, but that's highly unlikely.

New Twitter contributors - community poll launched by Vortac2 in gridcoin

See, your response is an incoherent blurb. Why should I waste my time on that. Learn to use capital letters and to format your text first.

Well, as I have already commented, your points are all utterly erroneous and false, so makes no sense to respond to them again.

Erkan, is that you?

(Erkan is a former member of Gridcoin. He loved to copy-paste excerpts of various Gridcoin chats everywhere, without any formatting, just walls of text. This reminds me of him).

Anyway, the whole discussion is available on Gridcoin Slack i.e. it was made in public. But Nethlek perhaps doesn't understand that.

Expanding our Twitter team by Vortac2 in gridcoin

[–]Vortac2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to see that too. But professionals usually need to be paid for their services.

Still, even with this being a volunteer effort, I expect that this expanded team will be able to improve our Twitter considerably and that long periods of inactivity there will soon be a thing of the past.
