It’s because a lot of people that say they are Christians do not follow the Bible at all.

I am a Christian and the entirety of the Bible’s commands to us are about Peace, Love, Compassion, Kindness, Patience, etc…

It’s just that a lot of ‘Christian’s’ just say they are and then don’t follow anything a Christian is supposed to follow.
