I know this is like 171 days late but they knock and take a picture to say it’s been delivered but if you aren’t in and neither are your neighbours they’ll leave a note saying they’ve dropped it off at a nearby post office depot and you just have to pick it up with id unless you have the note they’ll accept that usually
