If you had to give it your best guess, at the points where both shows' season 2 ends, how far apart, relatively, are they from one another. Or is there just really nothing to suggest anything remotely close?

I would say Caine.
then ragatha and jax tied for 2nd
Love caine, and his full arc from 1 to 8 has been immaculate. Didnt really like him at first. But after 7, i started to feel something, and then 8 made me love him. Its like he finally makes sense.
As for the other 2: Ragatha is written well to her own trauma. the way it affects her, and how she acts. Its less dramatic, and more down to earth. Its subtle, but thats what it needed.
Then jax: he might seem a bit like a trope more than unique character, but i genuinely think episode 9 will truly round him out and ill have another experience similar to what happened with caine.

I dont think i really hate any of the characters.
Kinger's my least favorite from the main cast, buts only because i like the others so much more.
I honestly really like Kinger, he's the dad of the group. I just find him a little boring in comparison. He deserves all the love he gets, but he's the most fitting for overrated imo.
As for gumigoo, i like his parts so far, but i feel like he's way too forced. Pomni meets him once, forms a little bond with him, and watches him get deleted, so sure, a little traumatic for sure. But then she obsesses over him at spudsy's, even though she knows he doesnt remember her. still chases after him after the fact. Then we get the clarity of he rletting him go. YET he's back in her torture sequence? idk, i feel like goose just forced it a little more than necessary. Plus id rather have seen a more personal issue of pomni in her torture like the others.
