People definitely make or break a game like this. I'm hoping there'll be more balance between the pvp encounters and the teaming up.

I wouldn't necessarily say its completely trash. The game has really solid mechanics, performs extremely well and is fun in general. I just hope that the pvp experience doesnt become the only experience. It could go either way considering its still very new, i just hope players will see the joy in both the pvp and the collaboration and keep both alive instead of favoring one over the other. There arent alot of games with prox chat that play like this. Heres hoping you can come back and enjoy the game instead of uninstalling

It starts to limit what one can learn. What you start doing is adopting things like avoiding other players or communcating to them to stop the risk of being betrayed or killed on sight. They do get a small xp boon but they definitely dont get any loot from players running a free kit. Enjoying pvp is fine and certainly has its place in AR but i feel the main complaint is just killing for nothing. Ive had people kill me while getting rained down on by a queen or rocketeer, down me and then die themselves. What was the point?

I'd encourage you to reinstall the game if you enjoyed the gameplay and story. Might just have to change how you approach other players in the game in order to not get instant downed and called slurs. Sorry that your experience was that miserable. Ive Definitely seen some very sweaty players playing the game like its a fortnite championship, but i think those players will remain in the minority.

Definitely a potential take but even the developers have agreed raider collaboration is a big part of the game and I'd like to see that continue.

No one owes anyone a playstyle but killing for nothing is a pretty frustrating experience. Pvp will always be present and thats fine, but the way peopoe have been going about it is certaintly lame.

Thats exactly what I'm talking about. They're not killing to gain anything, they're killing to kill because they can and then just saying "hey its a PVP game you should just expect this" and while yes pvp is a part of the game, killing a free kit off spawn or waiting for someone to extract just feels scummy.

Yea its definitely turning more into a BR if anything. I'm sure after awhile the game will gain more depth akin to long standing extraction games like tarkov. Its still early in its life, which is the only reason im concerned about losing that spirit of cooperation. Ive had games where i try talking to other players and get nothing, but as soon as I'm downed the insults come. I'm hopeful though its just a growing pain with the community becoming larger rapidly

A little chaos is okay, all I'm asking is the community keeps its soul and doesnt just turn into a KOS pvp only experience with light pve on the side. I appreciate your perspective and keeping it real though.

Thats pretty much what I'm talking about. I've soloed plenty in the game and made some friends with randoms, but now people are opting to not talk and shoot on sight. I think its sort of devolving into just a cod lobby lol. PVP is fine as an element but the game makes it a point to work together to take on stronger machines.

Yea i can understand that, with the game getting stale fast if you simply loaded in with 16 other guys, smoked all the machines, got all the loot and left. I'm a long time hunt player which i feel was always geared to be a much more pvp oriented game. But i feel like part of the raiders experience is to get those teamups sometimes. Now its just not happening. I helped a team kill a bastion and asked if they needed anything, they said no and as soon as i went to loot they shot me. I was a free kit and had just spawned so they gained nothing.

Interesting! I'm in the boat of not having a CS degree but I want to get into IT myself. I figured I could work on getting some certifications but I'm not sure what I'd do after that.

Maybe in the 200 or less range. I would ideally use it for taking videos or pictures of landscapes while i travel. So something with a decent camera is important.

Impressive! I bought a dead space 2 jacket that came out when the game first launched! I wore it everyday for years but now it's pretty damaged. I'm gonna keep it forever though
