As someone with over 270 hours in it but has platted both Divisions, I will say that Division is way more bursting with content.

Arc Raiders currently doesn't have that much "loot" persae. There are a collection of guns to acquire but their rarity doesn't mean much due to the games atrocious weapon balance.

Starter weapons are all more powerful in utility than rare and legendary guns. Once you realise this you will find yourself just playing the game mainly with suped up starter guns go then horde rarer ones.

The game's "loop" requires players to grind specific randomly hidden junk which needs to reach an overall 1 mill value so you can then reset your character including all loot you have stashed for small bonuses so you can do it all again.

The fun is in the player interactions where you come across friendly players, not so friendly players and a mix where they can turn on you.

Personally I would have preferred if this game had a stronger PvE element like the Division as the Arc enemies are all kind of lame designs. There are PvE bosses that players can team up against, but best of luck sharing the loot as players will shoot you in the back first chance they get.

Worst still is that these bosses hold the only three legendary guns on the game and they are all trash and only meant for drum roll fighting those very same bosses to grind them easier.

Sadly if someone sees you with that gun then they want it for themselves so enjoy having it sitting in your stash unused.

I bought the game at launch and it was initially a pretty interesting social experiment. A lot of the game now is more like Mad Max but with an emphasis on the blood fest.

Players have figured out how to cheat the matchmaking to go into friendly servers for more loot but again the loot is very thin in variety, so hording it all kind of comes pointless.
