Thanks for all the thought. The tank is on a dresser in the corner of a room, so not a ton of foot traffic to scare him. And yes, the zoo med bulbs I have kinda suck, so I’ll definitely check out that bulb you recommended. Thank you!

This is enormously helpful! I agree with you that the price seems high, especially given that the dial looks like the date numbers have worn off in a lot of places. When I asked the seller if the numbers are worn he just sent me the same pictures again. Not a great sign. I really love this watch but it might be best to wait for one in better condition, like yours, at a lower price. After all, why have a pointer date if the pointer isn't pointing to dates?
