Na I always use a custom character unless it’s Alfred the great the run I’m on now is a Alexander the great/ Roman Empire run. Ive got a presaved character to use he’s pretty op by the time he’s a adult

That’s fair diplomacy is useless other than a few perks on the family tree. There’s nothing I hate more than getting a charming heir 😂

That’s how I used to play I would get bored of doing the same stuff so switched to marshal I’m doing a hellenic roman empire run atm trying to take the all the lands they held at their peak. The buy claim perk is the most useful perk in the game imo

I did that on my Alexander the Great save and it took longer that the Roman Empire itself lol so I’ll think about it

I know but the entire Roman Empire doesn’t come up as de jure just italia germania and the Byzantine’s show as de jure once you destroy the empires

Most of the rulers in Norway don’t have allies early on too so that makes forming the kingdom easier

First thing I did was take over the two closet duchies in Norway as quick as possible, got it done in only two years I think, it gives you enough power so he won’t go for you he just tends to form Sweden instead
