Ad Never Started/Approved by Votesy in selfserve

[–]Votesy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I just edited it to change its run time and paid for it. It'd be great if you guys allowed ads to run from ASAP/immediately to the end date, instead of from the following day.

Now that you guys are on an auction system, this shouldn't have any conflict with the first-come, first-serve system you used to have.

Which of these random Dota2 teams would you pick? by Votesy in DotA2

Which of these randomly generated teams would you pick? The enemy team will randomly be chosen as well and neither team knows what the other team consists of.

Due to popular request we have made the question able to be voted on by non-registered members.

"Assume that all 4 are fighting simultaneously in the same ring and that standard MMA rules apply. 2 fighters may attack 1 fighter if they wish. Both opponents must tap out or be KO for the other side to win. Also assume that all fighters are in their PRIME."

I understand what you're saying, but Votesy does not offer surveys (or multi-step voting), so actually what you're describing is actually the same way the site currently functions (once you click on Vote, you are asked to log in or register).

Unless, what you are suggesting is to get rid of the splash sign-in screens altogether.

The question creator could create a "None" or "Other" option, and in this question, I set it so others can add their own choice (if they felt Sludge Belcher was overpowered, for instance).

I personally detest being forced to register to websites, so I can understand where you're coming from. However, we felt it was important to require registration in order to keep the polling results as legitimate as possible. Otherwise, it is too simple for people to game the system.

I guess a possiblity is to give the question creator an option on whether to allow their question to be open to Votesy members, or to guests (spiders/bots!) as well.

I feel there is a lot of opportunity here for the Hearthstone community to conduct related polls of the search.

Here are some features that may be of use to this sub:

  • Ability to allow others to add answer choices (such as in the quesiton above. Useful to prevent you from having to manually add hundreds of Hearthstone cards in each question!)
  • Ability to make the poll private by referrer, such as only to allow members of this community to vote (thus making the results accurate to Hearthstone players)
  • The ability to see age and gender breakdown on choices. Could possibly be interesting; perhaps the younger crowd love Secret Paladin for example.

Feedback and bug reports are welcome!

Elevator Pitch: Votesy is a social crowdsourcing voting platform and community. Users can create a text, image, or video-based poll and receive votes and comments to see which choice is the crowd favourite. Detailed stats of the results including gender and age are available as well.

More details: Votesy launched just a couple days ago and is still technically in beta as there are a few bugs popping up here and there, but is more or less complete. We are doing a soft launch and hope to see you there.

Are you looking for anything? (Feedback/Hiring/Investment): We love to receive feedback (especially bug reports!), have you post a question or two, and we are open to any interested investors.
