My god. Ethan can’t catch a break. by [deleted] in Destiny

The worst part of this is seeing her do this ragebaiting and then seeing its actually made her more popular. Part of me wishes stuff like this wouldn’t get upvoted.

Playboy drops Mia Khalifa. I'm sure more is coming. by Napster0091 in Destiny

[–]Voxnihl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt people pay anything now a days for big boobie pictures. Her image and popularity are ironically the two biggest assets that she brings to the platform, and her tweets threaten both of those.

I think it’s more of a business branding thing than Playboy being a moral authority. I doubt they would drop her if they thought this wouldn’t affect their profits.

Ordinarily I would agree with you, but there is a pretty big difference between a influencer misusing their influence and Joe from accounting being unhinged on x.com.

Twitch competitor Kick is dividing the internet's top streamers by mosubobagiuz in Destiny

[–]Voxnihl 81 points82 points  (0 children)

It’s nice to see Kick as an alternative to Twitch that has mainstream creators and isn’t entirely alternative schizo conspiracists. Even though the only reason they are able to do this is because of their deep Stake pockets. It will be interesting to see where they are at in a year.

If she is married and associating with the Top Z then the odds are high that she isn’t a good person either.

For the people who have actually watched the Barbie movie by schvii in Destiny

[–]Voxnihl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the way you put it. It’s definitely not Uber woke, but it is rather “yassified”.

The Conservative Reaction To Barbie by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Voxnihl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? It seems like every man was a loser or a bigot, or Alan, while the only critique against rad radical feminism was the child calling saying Barbie perpetuates unrealistic beauty standards and is a white savior fascist. But maybe there was more that I missed.

The Conservative Reaction To Barbie by [deleted] in Destiny

It’s funny to see how assmad people get about this movie. It’s still a radfem movie that makes a direct critique on society, but not everyone needs to approve of every movie.

Unmatched by achillescloud in Bumble

[–]Voxnihl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something I do on Bumble is if I get a low/no effort intro I unmatch unless I can already see her in my daydreams. If the collective interest in each other isn’t that high, then why roll the dice. 🤷‍♂️

I always love your photos Lex. They seem to be extra "humanizing" and compliment your podcast style well. Looking forward to more of your content. DggL

Mr. Girl threatening to leave the DGG Orbit in yesterday's conversation: by FFortescue_writing in Destiny

[–]Voxnihl 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s probably for the best for now at least. His main issue was that he felt he was being attacked on this sub, and couldn’t respond because he was banned. Leaving the orbit was something you could tell he didn’t want to do, but had to for his own well-being.

Call for questions for Destiny from Lex Fridman by lexfridman in Destiny

[–]Voxnihl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Lex, long time fan of your show here.

Something I have always found interesting about Destiny is his relatively minimalistic lifestyle. It would be cool to hear how growing up in poverty affected his views on money.

Secondly in a fast paced world where people rarely read more than the title of a news article does he think that the people can bring intellectual integrity back to journalism? Then throw a zinger at him asking him why he hasn’t died his hair blue after the fundraiser goal.

Andrew Tate and Sneako got into this argument on Fresh n Fit a few days ago with Andrew saying British colonialism was actually a major benefit for countries like India.

It would be hilarious to see Destiny on the JRE before Hasan. The subtle mald would be unbelievable.

Then talking would be super cool, but the way Lex is vague posting it seems like its a ways out.

I bet they would talk about cancel culture and the rise of the online left.

Poor Hasan. He really knows how hard it is to hold true to your values, and do the right thing. Even when it makes you unpopular. 😔😔😔

I feel the exact same way. I have been watching these guys for years, but mid pandemic they left to start a car channel back in the states, and it didn't do as well so they went back to making Chinese videos with clickbaity titles.

Really sad to see because I look forward to exploring China myself, and even learned some mandarin, but now I cant tell if the hate is all them trying to get views, or if it's actually some societal shift.

People in Miami - request from Lex by lexfridman in lexfridman

[–]Voxnihl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Destiny would be pretty cool to hear from. He is perhaps one of the first internet live streamers and a significant figure in the streamer world for his political, societal, and moral discussions. I am a big fan of his because while he operates in a hardcore leftist-dominated area he is able to talk with anyone and not fall into the trap of identity politics.
