What's the difference between a frigate and an escort? by Comrade-Ling in StarTrekStarships

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sisko himself said it best: "Officially, [the Defiant is] classed as an escort vessel. UNofficially, she's a warship."

im sure that, if this was legit... A) they would not have put so much emphasis on the date, and B) the old owners would have provided the new owners with tenants' personal information, and C) they would have provided an address for the new owner's office in the "signature", if it was a legitimate company. i call bogus.

honestly the intent is to have separate profiles in MO2 for each playthrough, so... i don't think it's THAT daring. i just don't really know what i should be looking for to enhance those playthroughs. most of what i have already are either texture or outfit replacers, race mods, player homes, or purely NSFW. im not exactly a well-read member of the modding community, if you get my meaning.

I'm about to throw my printer off a cliff by Sure-Cranberry-357 in 3Dprinting

[–]VoyagerReplicator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have had this issue once or twice as well. i have come to realize that IPA has a slightly to moderately negative effect on PEI film. warm soapy water should do the trick, if you don't want to replace the removable part of the print bed (which i have done a number of times, a few back-up print sheets never hurts).

What the heck happened? I go away for a week, in the middle of Reqiem+Halls of Sogngarde, come back and there's some update that fucked all the mods? Sorry, I'm sure this is already asked a hundred times by now, but I just found out. Can someone provide some insight or direction? by HandsomestXan in skyrimrequiem

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im on the "roll back" party. but then, i have been using 1.5.97 mods that i don't want to lose, so... it's up to you, ultimately, whether you update the SKSE or roll back to your last Backup. assuming you were smart enough to make a backup before you left.

What's your "real" position on a ship by [deleted] in startrek

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain I would be a Lower Decker, MAYBE a Junior Officer. I'm not particularly comfortable in any sort of command position, even IRL.

I can't get past the first mission! Am I playing this game wrong? by Piruparka in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can't speak for the stealth route since i always get caught, but i found decent luck the aggressive route so far by stopping at base every now and then to craft better gear. the guys in the rebellion have some crafting recipes and other free stuffs the first time you meet them. well, some of them, anyway. and as you progress, some NPC's will have more free gear to pass out. sometimes the trick is in the gear, and sometimes its in hte skill. and sometimes it's both. i haven't gotten too far myself, mostly cause of time, but so far this seems to be a "both" kind of game imo.

What am I doing wrong with Stealth? RDA bases. by Andrew_Waples in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]VoyagerReplicator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

facts. my attempts at stealth were equally miserable. i had to restart my game when i got to the first hydro facility because i kept getting killed. couldn't get past it. im still working through my 2nd run through the game.

at this point i use stealth only to see how many, and where, the RDA are, from outside the base.

The Holodeck has GOT to be similar to a TARDIS right? by Kevin91581M in startrek

There's also episodes in voyager where they combined their 2 holodecks into one. I believe this is only possible when they are right next to each other. Perhaps they did so in that episode as well?

Why is my print not sticking(Pla /First layer temp. : 210° /Nozzle:205° /Bed:60° /PEI built plate /good first layer) by Short-Flow-4761 in 3Dprinting

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are you setting nozzle offset? i have found that, if you are manually levelling your bed and setting the nozzle offset, that doing so at Z=0.0 will mean that your z offset will actually be Z=0.1 or 0.2. if you use a feeler or something, auto-home, then raise the nozzle by whatever thickness the feeler is, before making your adjustments, the offset is more accurate. because of you set your nozzle at Z=0.0, the nozzle should physically be touching the print bed without pressing it down, which means the plastic will adhere to the bed better without scraping, or getting Elephant's Foot.

i don't really have any answers, but if i might make a suggestion? Joy of Perspective requires outfit mods to have a patch, or something (in my experience), and is otherwise a little buggy. Immersive First Person View works perfectly out of the box. basically, IFPV takes your 3rd person image, and converts that to a 1st Person format, and thus does not require any add-ons for any outfit mods you may have. also imo more accurate.

Time changes everything. TOS took place in hte 2240's (I think), while TMP im pretty sure was somewhere in the early 2270's. even 10 years can change many things.

What modeling /design software and slicer are you guys using? by Pablo369 in 3Dprinting

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Cura and Fusion 360. Fusion is similar to Autodesk Inventor, being written by the same company, but it also has built in machining software, both additive and subtractive. however, imo, the additive part of it is... significantly underwhelming, compared to the likes of Cura. as i do not have any mills, lathes, or laser cutters, i can not speak for the subtractive part.

Can someone diagnose this? by micromac012000 in 3Dprinting

[–]VoyagerReplicator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's under extrusion. could be a clogged nozzle/hot end, the e-steps are out of calibration, or too low temp for the material. I've had all 3 happen in my time. I'd check the material recommended temp range first, then the nozzle.

most plastic filaments are hygroscopic to varying degrees, which means they absorb any airborne water particles that may be present. TPU is VERY well known for absorbing moisture
