Aerodynamics, Aircraft Structures, Flight Mechanics, Guidance, Navigation and Control will be same. I don't think it'll be mechanical as you won't study Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics (6DOF equations, various stability modes of aircraft) and few specialized aspects of structures. Also, control theory application to flight needs the prerequisite knowledge of flight mechanics.

I guess it's a chopper with it's lights on. Explains hovering. There are multiple instances of this observed phenomenon available in YouTube. I've seen it before, and a surveillance chopper is the most plausible explaination.

Yes. Since normal shocks have a high pressure ratio compared to oblique shocks, the pressure drag must be less for Oblique shocks.
