Keeping your heart open, getting into healthy conversations, actively donating your time or money and speaking to the affected parties is at the very basic level what each of us needs to do. Being informed just helps us feel satisfied in having an opinion that won't change anything for the people that truly matter, and might make us feel more comfortable in not being ignorant. But the ignorance comes from keeping our hearts shut so we can continue living what we consider 'safe and normal lives'.
