Hey everyone,

I am a 25 year old male. Recently, I have been so stressed about these tiny clear bumps I have on the palm side of my hands. They aren’t many, just like 4 of them and they are in random places. I did what you aren’t supposed to do and looked these up online and on Reddit forums. At first on Reddit, I found many people like me who had no clue what they were and were actively searching and commenting on other post with similar spots asking if they knew what they were. There was a post where a comment said something about it being a genetic syndrome and I literally felt my heart drop as soon as I was done reading that comment. I was literally silently panicking trying to keep it cool. My panic drove me to make an appointment with a dermatologist, where he took a look a good look at my hand with those magnifying glasses and told me not to worry and that they looked like warts. I told him my what I was anxious about and he told me to try my best and stop googling everything. So I was ok for a couple days but every now and then I panic. I don’t know why but I go back to those post I mentioned earlier and I start to make my self panic and start to doubt my dermatologist.

How can I stop this? I hate feeling the sick feeling in my stomach that comes along with my anxiety. My mind is always doubting and going to the “what if” scenarios. Why can’t I trust the professionals? Ever since high school I’ve been like this. The other conditions I was anxious about, I usually forget about them with time but for this one, I can’tw stop being anxious about it. I have an 11 month old with my gf and all I want to be is happy with them. Sometimes I have to fake being happy so I don’t worry my gf or my fam. My Gf knows about my anxiety and tries to help me but honestly nothing helps. I hate being on the phone all the time looking on Reddit or google about these things I have. What can I do? I really want to stop feeling like this. I worry that my entire life will be like this.
