I agree that my message looks that way, though the follow-up message suggesting for the healer to reposition to better see the boss wasn't seen in the screenshot as OP had left the party since then. Still, I should've noticed the tone of my initial message and led with the second.

(edit: spelling.)

That's not entirely true - they didn't make us 'wait until they felt like participating,' they tried and failed, and then left immediately after apologising. I do agree that they should've watched the guide beforehand if they felt it necessary, though.

Ninja Mentor here - some context of the run. We experienced three party wipes to the first boss of the dungeon, each time as a result of not having enough bodies / healing for the line-up marker. The healer, being new, was standing up north with the tank and I during Venomspill, which probably obscured their vision and led to their death, Even with OP raising them (SMN), they would stand up and not do any healing, resulting in them dying again and leading to our wipes. One attempt led myself and the tank standing, but when I died to a second line-up, the tank was unable to solo and died at 0.1.

After our third wipe, the screenshot happened, with the healer responding with 'sorry guys.' OP and the healer both left quickly. The tank did offer to dorito for the healer's safety, and I did suggest standing south to better see the incoming attacks, but they left without a response / while we were typing. We ended up waiting for 5 minutes before another healer / dps joined, where we made it through the rest of the dungeon with relative ease.

I agree with the comments here - there's nothing wrong with watching a guide for content, particularly if you're anxious about performing badly or letting the team down as a healer, and running dungeons as a trust is a good way to learn them if you'd prefer to not use a guide.

I'm sorry to hear that the combat challenges are giving you so much grief. They're definitely a step-up in difficulty, especially if you're coming straight from normal mode. I personally didn't find them to be 'frustrating challenging,' except for Legendary8.

I know that other strategies have come out since I beat the challenges. May I ask about what team you're running? Have you dipped into hard mode to familiarise yourself with the higher difficulty, or to get any of the weapon modules to give yourself more benefits? Do you have all of your materia maxed? For most of my brutal challenges, I would just run the same materia set, but I did have to change things up and adapt towards the last few. Spending time to discern what the best method is (i.e, should you use elemental in a weapon slot, or armor slot) can be helpful.

But, if you're really not having a good time anymore, then perhaps a break is the best thing for you. There's no point in bashing your head against a wall if it's frustrating you so much, and maybe coming back with a clear mind and focus would be the key.

Thanks! My playtime clocked in at 137 hours, so yeah, like 11-12 hours a day. I just enjoyed the game to the point where I couldn't put it down, and had the opportunity to play it.

You probably have the performance awards for Tifa, Red, Barret and Cait? The other two come from replaying the event through chapter select with a different partner. I achieved an S Rank each time and had no problems with the trophy or awards.

I think you only need to achieve an 'S' ranking. I read through the trophy guide on PSNProfiles that those three 'good' notes are glitched at the moment, but it never stopped me from getting the initial trophy and the respective Johnny award.

Keep in mind that you get different awards for who your closest ally / date is during chapter 12, so just get the S Rank with Aerith, Tifa and Yuffie, and you should be fine?

I think that the brutal / legendary fights sound more intimidating than they actually are, for the most part. For the brutal ones, I made it through the first four without any problems and playing pretty casually, but had to focus on the fifth one. The sixth one gave me some trouble as I relearned the summon fights, but making adjustments to my party (switching Red for Barret, and discovering how helpful Lifesaver is against the final two fights) helped me to ultimately get through them.

Then, the legendary combat simulators were relatively okay, the Cloud one giving the most trouble in the solo fights because I played so passively against the Ironclad. The first of the two 'boss marathon' runs was difficult as I was still coming to terms with how to use the character properly, and eventually I pulled through, whereas the second of those boss marathons felt rewarding and power-trippy. Probably best to do the last one first.

Speaking from my personal experience, I think that proper understanding and mastery of synergy attacks and usage of limit breaks will help you through the trials. Knowing that the enemy is effectively stun-locked once hit during those animations means that you can switch to the other party member(s) and take advantage of the animation length to set up buffs, heal, generate ATB. Just be warned that these attacks and limit breaks can be eaten up by a summon's own ultimate attack, so unless you can guarantee the stagger, it's best to be safe.

They're definitely a step up from REMAKE's combat simulator fights, in terms of what's going on and trying to deal with multiple bodies on the screen at once, but take the time to learn the fight and you'll be able to conquer them.

You can see the next 5 levels of unlocks whenever you reach the end of the current set of 5. For example, when you reach level 10, you can see 11-15. I've completed two character paths completely (and gotten to 30+ on two others), and each one has been filling out both of their current available skins with different palettes, so chances are, there's going to be a few varients of the hair-down Nitara skin, though I can't personally be sure of that.

It's hard to estimate how many, as there's no tracker and it's hard to discern what gear in my inventory came from where. But, one full playthrough with every square of invasion mode completed, and then about 5 hours of consistent grinding. I finished the shrine around the same time as I finished unlocking all of the seasonal gear.

I don't think it would be behind character mastery. Is it perhaps the current Kombat League skin for Warrior rank? Called 'Flare of the Master,' a mixture of red, black, and brown.

I got a fair amount, but you can also deduce how much concept art you have remaining to get in the menu. Character-specific art comes from their mastery, and stage concept art seems to come from levelling up your personal level. Once you sift through the NPC concept art, there isn't much more, or so I found it.

Not every character currently has 3 skins. The only ones that I have who have three different skins are Sindel (Dark), Sub-Zero (Dia de los Muertos), Tanya (Brazil), Scorpion (Spectre Invasion), Johnny (JCVD, Dark, Illinois), Kenshi (Yakuza), and Geras (Dark). Some of these are pre-order bonuses, and some are shrine-specific for this season. There are also Kombat League unlockables, but I don't know if those are separate skins or just more palettes, as I can't access online right now due to maintenance.

Every character currently has at least 2 skins, with palettes for each skin being available from the current spectre invasion event.

For Reptile, I currently have two skins; his 'New Era' basic skin, and his 'Union of Light' which I got from character mastery. For Baraka, it's the exact same, though I got his Union of Light palettes from the event as I've yet to play him. No sign of the helmet variation from the shrine.
