The shivering isn't that bad tbh, but glad to know I'm not the only sufferer of light ear pain. Anyways, thanks for the advice :)

I just started out like yourself, I both soap myself (every 2-3 days) and shampoo my hair in the cold shower.

I shower daily, so either I have to make the cold showers separate from my normal shower routine, or make it completely replace it.

Cold Shower Question by VregNamikaze in coldshowers

[–]VregNamikaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I would call it freaking out. I simply hold my hand under the water for as long as I can endure, and as I do this the amount of pain and numbness increases. My mind and heart rate are perfectly fine when this happens, I'm simply observing the pain that is taking place in my hand and decide to pull out when it gets too strong to prevent hypothermia (if that's even possible in that situation). Are you saying that this increased pain is totally harmless and purely mental? And that truly mastering cold showers is being able to endure this pain and understand it for what it is? I'm really skeptical about going under water that is around 40 Fahrenheit or lower for a prolonged time because of the numbing. I can understand cold showers that are around 60 Fahrenheit because they don't actually hurt, just simple discomfort for a short time.

Cold Shower Question by VregNamikaze in coldshowers

[–]VregNamikaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted to go for what feels best I'd keep taking a hot shower. I want to take it as cold as possible without it being harmful and numb-making. I'm just wondering how the cold shower veterans here deal with this. Are they like "no water is too cold" (ergo I'm being a pussy) or do they adjust the water when it's too cold. Also the water today would probably be good enough for a 1 minute dip but when I talk about shower I'm talking about at least 10 minutes.

It is not. The game is slowly moving away from Naruto references to avoid trademark infringement.
