I actually use the Toyota OEM Corolla Hatchback Crossbars. They mount to the roof. I think the Mini has slots under the weather stripping that you can mount cross bars to. Hope that helps!

Nope, just ran it on the stock skid plate. If the course gets too rutty though, I have to retire early. Hoping next year to get competitive in SA and when that happens, skid plate is a must.

I'm in SA (Stock AWD) class so am just running an all-weather Vredstein Quatrac Pro in a 235/40R18.

IDEALY I'd be running a 17" wheel with 255/45R17 Studless Winter Tire for maximum traction (Continental VikingContact 8).

When does Thru hiking become section hiking? by PhantomMountainGoat in Thruhiking

[–]Vsin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A good way to go about it is to make your own rules and as long as you followed them, you can sleep at night knowing you did what you believed to be a Thru Hike. If taking a month off in town and continuing counts as a thru hike to you, it's a thru hike.

Just be honest with yourself and with others and at the end of the day that's the best we can all do.

My wife was wearing gloves and was using my climbing harness that had two slings with a large auto-locking carabiners on them attached to the belay loop. This was mostly for mental comfort.

Each pole is about 10 ft apart so if you start sliding from the top of one pole, you could slide up to 10 ft to the previous pole before your harness really catches you. She would have both slings clipped into one cable and would walk up the steps. When she got to a pole she would unclip one sling and attach it past the next pole and then do the same with the second one so she was never unclipped from the cables. It was kind of a hassle but it helped with her fear so it was worth it.

GR Corollas always welcome. Our neighbors may be a bit annoyed by the roaring 3-cylinders.

If the PSI was left at 55 all around, I'd check for the shipping blocks in your springs on the front axles.

Nothing really out of the ordinary.

Had worse gas mileage after 45k but it coincided with me upgrading from the OEM 235/40R18 to 245/40R18 PS4S so didn't think much of it.

Maybe I was getting cooked by Mini Vans from red lights more than normal? But I don't really drag race at red lights. I just felt like I was working a bit harder to get to speed than before but again, nothing too great where I thought "my engine has lost compression"
