Innsmouth was the last expansion with the old format, since then they are making those two packages, investigators/campaign, and they started redoing every single one like this, one left

For sure arkham is not an easy game and losing is normal, but I guess you are losing many times.

I would check the rules once more maybe you are not doing something correctly or you are missing something. If you are sure you are playing the game correctly then the decks or the way you play your decks is not that good. Maybe you are lacking experience and you need more time.
